Stunning hotel...lovely scenary... I would suggest that if you are going to stay there, pay the extra bit and stay in the Sea Village...much better than the hotel...We were luck to have been pre-advised from tripadvisor and changed our booking from the hotel to the Sea Village... Staff at the hotel were friendly and always willing to help.. Rooms were... More

I stayed here for three nights. It is extremely close to the airport, however I only departed by plane but arrived via the ferry from Penang. Had I researched better I would have discovered that this hotel is not located in the busiest part of town. It's not in close proximity to many shops, restaurants or many attractions, however I... We were looking for a comfortable base to relax as well as see Langkawi with our two kids - ages 12 & 7. Having read previous reviews we avoided the hotel rooms in the main building and opted for a sea view suite (on stilts). Okay, we paid a bit more but the view and location from the corner suite... I was a little worried after booking a weeks break here , then reading all the negative reviews about the resort. Anyway we were too late to cancel so thought how bad can it be! To be totally honest I thought it was pretty good, We had booked a deluxe room in the sea village overlooking the sea , and... More

Having read a few cagey reviews of the place we arrived with some trepidation but the stay and the hotel served our needs well. If you're coming here for paradise and a romantic pampered resort getaway without having to leave the hotel then this isn't the place for you. If you want a decent base to chill out, explore the... We stayed at the Lagoon Resort for 4 nights. Our room was good sized and the balcony had a good view over the lagoon - although that was man made! We saw a room on the other side of the hotel which faced the car park - the view was awful, if you do book here, ensure that you ask... More

Such a shame. What could have been a nice hotel was totally marred by the fact that the lagoon is man made! It has a concrete wall that obscures the horizon and has huge signs stating 'no swimming @ low tide'. (due to the fact that the sea is blocked by the concrete wall, it becomes so still and silty... after reading all the review i decided to booked a 3 nights stay at the hotel on a sea front suite. The room was spacious and great. Although the staff service was bad, the moment we arrive at night, we weren't greeted at all. after chiecking in, they say we are entitled to a welcome drink, so we have been... More

When the check-in to a hotel is good, you can take it for granted that the rest of the stay will be superb! On entering the hotel , I immediately had a bad feeling. The hotel (with the regular rooms) looked old and shoddy from the outside and it was just next to the swimming pool and breakfast area so... More
