Hubby and I stayed 2011 based on location and price. Yes I thought it was in need of updating but if you tend to only sleep in your rooms and head out for the day it is fine. It has a gorgeous beach and away from the hustle and bustle of Pantai Cenang but close enough to go there for... More

Okay the rooms were very tired and in need of redecorating but everything else about them cancelled this out for us. Family style accommodation for 5+ people is hard to find and expensive. These villa's had 2 separate bedrooms and a lounge dining as well as a kitchen. Unfortunately the kitchen is fairly unusable for a western family to cook... More

We did our research so we knew what to expect. The rooms are a bit tired but for the price you really can’t complain. The pictures on their website must be around ten years old. We booked a deluxe so we had a great view of the ocean with a nice big balcony. Better than the small metal balconies in... More

Rooms are big and spacious however furniture was old and run down. No double bed available, only twin bedded rooms. Location is the + point, on the beach and close to nearby market. Hotel is quite spread out.

I still think having stayed at Holiday Villa many times that what you get at Federal Villa for half the price is good value. BIG PLUS this stay FREE WIFI - at long last. Federal is looking very tired and the en-suites are very basic but our room has always been comfortable and clean. The mozzies were more of an... More

Rooms are big enough but so old. Funiture was like an old man. My parent room was full of mosquito. It is not a resort. It should be 2* hotel. Dont book this hotel go for holiday villa next to it. The only plus thing about this hotel was you could use the beautiful beach beside it.

It was our mistake that we didn't check out from the hotel once check in. If you want to have rest in a such nice island and don't share you room with lots of ants don't even go to this hotel. The room was so old , the room was smelly, the furniture just not even okey. The territory is... More

We booked online based on others reviews on this site. We were really happy with the location right on the beach. We booked a 2 bedroom unit in the older Federal Villas section ofHoliday Villas. It was clean and the beds were comfy, although the unit was very outdated and need of full renovation. Pay the aud$8 to use the... More

I've booked a room here for August for four nights. I'm a single Mum with two children aged 12 and 9. Obviously they are not old enough to have a room of their own and they are too old to share beds! I requested a roll out or trundle bed be placed in the room (I was prepared to pay... More

Federal Villa is a distant cousin to Holiday Villa next door. We stayed in a standard room at the far end, the nearest to the road. Positive: 1. All the facilities at Holiday Villa could be enjoyed by Federal Villa's guests 2. Room is spacious 3. Location: Among the best in terms of privacy and other facilities (food outlets, convenience...
