Four nights here wasnt long enough. I just loved this place. A collection of relocated heritage buildings in a garden setting with exquisite views of Langkawi's mountains - so gorgeous. Rooms were rustic but very comfortable and atmospheric and had wifi. The pool was tranquil and serene. The staff were lovely, helpful and efficient, always happy to call us a... More

Amazing atmosphere created by relocated heritage housing tucked away in gorgeous tropical Malaysian countryside. Unbelievable views of mountains from the pool. The pool and surrounding area is gorgeous so natural and peaceful the tranquillity cannot beaten!! The rooms themselves are rustic but have all mod cons- e.g nice spacious bathrooms and air conditioning, so much character you feel like you... More

We wanted something different to your usual chain hotel and we were not disappointed. The houses are rustic and have a great genuine feel of staying in a 'Malay style' house. Rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of space. From the moment we checked in till we checked out nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Look forward... More

This is probably one of the most unique hotel we ever visited. We were staying in Black And White, it's spacious and full with old/antique furniture. The buildings are acually old buildings moved from other places in Malaysia to Langkawi. The owner of the hotel is also running an animal shelter, so you can see cats wandering around, lying on... Having stayed in big Langkawi resorts before we thought we'd try the Temple Tree as it was the low season and we got a very reduced rate.We were attracted to the unique experience reviewers had talked about. We stayed in Estate 5 for 3 nights, and yes it was unique, quirky and charming. The room was large, clean and quite... More

Gorgeous property - I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place that's different from run-of-the-mill hotels. Temple Tree has lots of character and charm, and it's perfect if you want to get away from busy hotels and beaches. The hotel is expensive for what you get, but it was a good experience. It's not crowded and is... More

This is really a unique place. We loved all the cats wandering in and out of our room (our house, actually). The room was huge, loved the open bathroom. Food was good, a little pricey compared to restaurants at Pantai Cenang, but the service was excellent, again. I would definitely stay there again. Recommended for those in need of some... More

away from where all the action is, and this is the whole point of staying in Temple Tree best place to just forget it all and relax. breakfast is prepared the evening earlier and is placed right in your fridge. so you can enjoy the breakfast in the comforts of your room.

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights in May. Wow it certainly lives up to its reputation. All I can say we will be back. Temple Tree certainly takes the prize..the individually restored colonial buildings, the staff and the views from the pool are amazing. If you love a resident cat in accommodation you will love it. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Though classified as B&B/Inn, Temple Tree is actually more of a boutique resort of many cultures, an eclectic mix of heritage chic...Antique buildings of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian origin, make up this 8 villa hotel, with 8 rooms & 6 suites now open. Each building has, over its 70-110 year old history, created its own heart and soul. Hopefully we have given due respect to each of these family homes with the restoration process. These houses are now the continuing story of people who live in them, our guests. ... more   less
