Very nice hotel close to the beach but far enough to provide tranquility. Own transportation is recommended (the hotel can arrange car or motor bike rental). The facilities are nice and spacious but can be a bit noise (e.g. Wooden floors crack when other guest walk around). The hotel has several nice swimming pools. the restaurant serves good food. The... We got really lucky to snag the very last room in this hotel as we firmed up our holiday plans in the very last minute. Turns out, the "room" is actually a Chinese House, one of the many themed traditional houses in this property. The hotel is VERY conveniently located near the airport, about 5 - 7 mins drive (will... spent 5 lovely days at this beautiful spot in January . We stayed in Colonial 3 with its twin baths. The architecture is truly wonderful - must be very similar to the Malaya of my parent's time in the 60s. Room was large & clean, make your own breakfast was perfect for us. Pool was clean and quiet, food excellent,... More

Temple tree resort is a very unique place which takes you back in time. The resort is made of old traditional houses coming from all around Malaysia. They were bought in their original state, shipped to Langkawi and rebuilt with a modern twist. We stayed at the Colonial house in a room which was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The... We stayed at the Colonial house and loved it. The houses at Temple Tree are old houses from places like Penang, Ipoh, which have been reconstructed in their authentic styles here. And they are incredible. Each "house" has been converted into 3/4 rooms for guests and tastefully done. Ours had a double bath tub amongst other perks. Breakfast is included... More

The resort if very beautiful and was unlike anywhere I had stayed before. It is made up of 8 different villas/buildings that are around 100 years old. I believe the houses were shipped from mainland Malaysia and rebuilt. I stayed with my 6 year old daughter in the Plantation house. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and the furniture was... I must say i had my mouth wide opened when there's various items to borrow during my stay! Even a tripod when i didn't bring one with me! All the staffs were so friendly, kind and helpful. The best part was that our planned tour ended at 2pm, which past the checkout time(normally before noon). They helped us brought our... More

The hotel is like a heritage cottage. Very well maintained clean rooms. This is kind of a house stay. I stayed in the month of March 15 with grown up kids, to start with excellent reception staff, a very short check in procedure with a briefing of activities, also excellent welcome drink, you can also choose a cool beer instead,...
