Only 5 staff, 2 malays and 3 foreigner. Poor room condition, poor air cond (no remote control). Rusty kettle, expired toothpaste, shampoo and bath foam, a lot of nonfunctional lamp, dark surrounding at night, sliding door not working, rust water. We stayed at this property last June 2009 and were dissapointed. Room was big but basic and decorated in cheap furnishings and fittings Restaurant had a extremely limited menu (2 main courses) and canned fruit for desert. Grounds are poorly looked after. I've stayed on Sibu many times, mostly at Rimba, which along with the Sea Gypsy, offers rustic but cozy accommodation with excellent service.
