Great location. However, it is a bit dated. Got a room facing the railway tracks so you could actually hear the trains pass by, so that kinda suxed. But it is definitely a winner for me for the price that was offered. Was offered a club membership. Will consider taking it up though because of the price.

Apparently, just renovated in Jan 2014. Previously called Holiday Inn. Fist impression wasn't that great as we were left standing a bit with loads of luggage and 2 children at the front entrance with no dropping off space and doorman. To be fair, I think there was some VIP (Johor EXCO) in the building... wonder why they have the need... More

I stayed at mutiara for 5 days. I stayed at 10th floor giving a good view of the city at any given time in the day. The rooms are spacious and bed was also very comfortable. The staff is very much approachable, friendly and always on their toes to help you. In fact i think the response time of the staff... More

I stayed at this hotel after travelling from Singapore to continue a holiday in Malaysia. The hotel looks a bit shabby from the outside but once inside it is ok. Our room was large it was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. The hotel staff were very good and helpful. We had an evening meal and breakfast... More

Stayed in for 2 nights, after reading some good reviews. Took up the Superior Room with 2 Queen Beds, was very happy with the bed size though. The hotel impressed me with very nice lobby upon check in, but upon entering the room, my heart actually sank. The room is smell of cigarette, actually the hotel is smell of cigarette... More

Horrible experience at the swimming pool where kids pool just like a basin & i thought no kids pool at this hotel where the basin is actually jacuzzi which can fit... More

My husband and I stayed at the Mutiara Hotel last year and I wrote a review in tripadvisor, giving them 5 out of 5 points as we enjoyed everything about the hotel. We were there again last week but we had a totally different experience this time. It was nice when we arrived as we noticed that they have refurbished... More

Booked 2 rooms for my family of 4 and my helper. One was a Superior while the other is a Deluxe. Both rooms are non smoking as requested. Rooms looked abit in need of a change. Furniture looked tired and worn out. Still the rooms are in clean conditions. The amenities given are not complete. The Superior room lacked toothbrush... More
