Stayed 3 days at Sofitel which is more a business Hotel than for leisure. The whole Resort looks like 80's style and never renovated since. The pool is pretty big but like rooms and restaurants sounds old. Going to Johor Baru takes approximately 30mn by taxi. Except playing golf, nothing to do! more

Nice enough hotel, but to call it a 5 star would be a push. Little bit out of the main city, but close to the airport. 3 golf courses to entertain yourself with. Stayed for five nights due to a company conference. I would not chose to stay here. Overall was barely ok but for a self proclaimed 5 star resort there is a lot of work for them to do. After viewing some troubled review, we were quite worried at first. All the worries were gone sooner we reached the front desk. The service was good and and the room ( deluxe ) was so cosy ! We reached there earlier than our checkin time, the receiption managed to accomodate us, even better, upgraded ! Love the resort and everyone... more
