We stayed 7 nights at Chez Maggie/Affiliates in total and could not have been happier with our choice. We were greeted with fresh juice and a ready room after the typical issues with Air Madagascar. We had 2 free days at Chez Maggie and then went on a 4 day excursion to Tsingy and Kirindy with Remote River Expeditions (organized... More

We arrived after dark and left before sunrise so no comments about the beach. The room was reasonable although the pillows were not comfortable at all. Hot water was nice. Our bungalow was close to the kitchen so we had loud music into the night despite wanting to sleep early. Asking to keep it down did not help, they just... More

Third time I have come here in the last 5 years and the service is consistently good. It is a good family run establishment on the beach front and just off the main tourist road so very quiet (other places in Morondava are very noisy!). The owners are attentive and always happy to help...there are three very different types of... More

We stayed in a 2 storey bungalow with the bed upstairs and bathroom and sitting area down stairs. It was nice but I have to agree that the lay out was not the best. The windows on both floors only have shutters so they are open or closed if you want privacy. The bed on the second floor is not... More

Greetings and thank you. While we're disappointed that all was not to your liking it's worth noting that Chalet # 2 actually enjoys the record for the longest stay by the same guests. The Record: Over the past four years a couple from Switzerland: 1st Visit: 24 nights / 2nd Visit: 16 nights / 3rd Visit 14 nights! (Naturally they... More

really beuatiful place nice rooms excellent service. waking up in the morning with sound of birds. having the sea just in the backyard and a awesome pool. Morondava is also super relazing with a great vibe and chez agiie lives up to it.

We stayed two nights in chalet 2 which was of the teo most expensive as two storey beach front. Whilst it was spacious the design did not suit us. The bed is only a small double and on a mezzanine floor whilst the bathroom is on the ground floor. Not great if you need a visit in the night. The... More

We stayed at Chez Maggie for a couple of nights at the end of a tour with Remote River Expeditions, a company owned by the guy who runs the hotel, Gary. Chez Maggie first. It's a fantastic hotel. Gorgeous bungalows scattered round beautiful gardens. Direct access onto the beach, and a wonderful spot to watch sunset with a cold beer.... More

Thank you for your comments and we were glad to see your list of 'Ups. On the other hand we are certainly taken back with the 'Downs' - to say the least. Since we take all reviews seriously we took the time to check the validity of your comments. The facts tell a different story. While we fully admit that... More

We had a great time staying at this little hotel towards the end of our trip through Madagascar. The hotel was a great, relaxing experience with friendly staff, nice maintained garden throughout the property and a great restaurant! The owners are Gary and his wife, with Gary being a very friendly and gracious host. We would highly recommend this hotel... More

I am an hotelier myself and tend to be as critical as understanding when reviewing a hotel. After endless deliberations, we booked in at Chez Magie for a 15 days holidays. Rare occurence as people tend to tour rather than drop their suitcases, but we wanted peace, quiet and R&R after our busy season. We got everything we wanted. On... More
