This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip and well worth the 20km drive down a dirt track. The setting is spectacular and we were greeted by the camps friendly catta lemurs when we arrived. Food was amazing could not believe how good as we were in the middle of nowhere. Our local guide justin was a local... More

We stayed for 3 nights and had one of the larger bungalow which was clean with a comfortable bed. The en suite was a good size with hot water. Electric is limited and there is less choice for food, but considering its location Camp Catta offers a good selection. The staff speak limited English so it is best to have... More

the scenery from the camp is wonderful, and so are the various possible day walks. the camp itself is well integrated and sightings of maki catta numerous. that said, the camp really caters for walkers and no extra luxury is to be expected. food at the restaurant is average at best and not exactly cheap, electricity is only available for... Camp catta is a very nice place to relax after hiking in Andringitra (or to explore the surroundings from there.) We had a rustic bungalow with private bathroom. It was very nice, but very small (barely enough space on the floor to open the suitcase). But you can sit at or in front of the restaurant to read and relax,... More

This is more than a camp. While they still have the platform tents, the new adobe rooms are great, comfortable and cute in design and function. Hiking here is varied and beautiful just out your door. Village is a nice walk across the valley. Swimming pool is one of the best. This place is perfect and even the food and... More

A wonderful setting and lots of lemurs running around. The food was great although the choice is limited given the distance to the nearest town. Upon check-in, we were shown to our room which was a nice plush bungalow (B10). Two hours later we were told we were not meant to be in THAT bungalow but a "rustic" one (B3).... More

We stayed here for 1 day and a half. The camp is surrounded by beautiful landings. The hospitality is not bad, not good. The moutain guide (Mr Herry) is very nice. Hiking in the area is great. Due to the aridness of the area, water supplying can be poor.

After a long drive through lonely open country we entered the valley and were overwhelmed with the beauty of the mountains surrounding us. Pulling up to Camp Catta, we looked forward to getting showers and having a cold beer before starting our long mountain trek the next day in Andringitra. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a blaring radio and what... More

The only thing that saved this part of our trip was the beauty of the surroundings at Camp Catta. Situated at the bottom of numerous mountains (of varying climbing abilities) it has the potential to be one of the best camps in Madagascar - sadly the management and the staff forestalled that. The manager was rude and unfriendly - we... More
