Nice family hotel 15 minutes walk from the city center. Warm and friendly staff. Breakfast food from the hotel`s garden. Very clean room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Good price. I recommend this hotel. Tha last but not the least, you do not have to worry about the political situation.

I stayed there for a week in July 2011, nice family hotel, more than friendly staff, taking good care of me. Breakfast was splendid, a whole plate full of delicious lebanese food. Whenever I wanted to have dinner or supper, just ask and the owner brought it to my room. Very clean room. And price is very nice too. I... More

Well, when I searched for the cheapest available single room in Byblos on the internet I never expected to find myself in such a nice clean room at a hotel up on the hill with a balcony overlooking the Mediteranean. I was there during the renovation of the hotel so there was no diner in the evening, but the possibility for order a meal coming... More

The place might not be too easy to find, but the first person we asked had no problems to tell us the way and with a sign on the road it was then not a real problem, after all. The two owners (father and son) gave us a more than warm welcome, were very open and friendly and would give... More

This hotel is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. Kind, hospitable host, good value, which is rare in Lebanon.

Lebanon is not an easy-travel, backpacker friendly country. There are not much choices for budget hotels. However, King George Hotel is the best value for money choice I found till now. My partner checked more than 20 hotels in Beirut, which are either too crappy, or too expensive for budget travel. Plus one thing, most of them ask for extra... More
