We had an excellent stay here in November. Very nice staff. Excellent room with a really comfortable bed. Loved the Maru white wine in the bar, which overlooks the river. One of the nicest gift shops we encountered in four parks. We saw an amazing number of animals in the park. We would definitely stay here again!

Came with a group of 14 and we stayed three nights. Saw crocs and plenty of monkeys (there was a "warrior" stationed near the dining area with a slingshot to keep them from bothering us). One member of the group met John Doherty with The Reticulated Giraffe Project (based out of this Lodge) and he met with all of us... More

Lovely setting our rooms had balconies overlooking the river which meant wildlife watching even while relaxing. Only downside was that when we booked Kuoni told us we couldn't have a triple room yet on arrival we were given a double room plus a room with one double and a standard size single bed, not happy at having to pay for... This lodge is located along the Ewaso Ng'iro river under shady trees which is a good thing, as the Samburu area tends to be quite warm. Room #40 (located close to the dining area) is a sizeable room with twin beds which they pushed together to give me a larger bed. Mosquito netting is used at bedtime. I especially enjoyed... More

Had a wonderful three day stay at Samburu Lodge. The staff are so friendly & helpful & a special mention must go to Petro & Eva who were so good to us & our Grandchildren. Petro goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need😄 the game was great we had some amazing sightings. All in all... More

We stayed for 3 nights, part of a 16-day Kenya safari. The location is great, loved sitting at the river and watching the birdlife. Water monitors, Agama lizards, Vervets and Baboons would often pass by - beautiful! The downside: Well, it´s a huge place, with more than 70 rooms! Luckily there were far fewer guests there. They are doing everything... More

Amazing place where you live right among the wildlife and wardens have to chase away the elephants so you can get to your room at nights. Excellent facilities with a pool and wonderfuly bar area overlooking the river. In the eveing all sorts of animals come down to drink on the other side. A bunch of serious crocodiles come up... Service was great. location on the banks of the Uaso river was perfect. Watched crocodiles and a hippopotamus while having dinner. Rooms comfortable but you have to make sure that you keep you door closed because the monkeys and baboons will try to get in. Would definitely go again.

The location is prime, prime, prime! Right on the river and shaded by beautiful mature trees. See some wildlife at the Lodge and many more animals immediately outside the gate. Wonderful birding location. The staff and the setting are my favorite aspects of this Lodge. During our most recent trip one of our party had a medical crisis that involved... More
