Just returned from Malindi and a stay at the Coral Key Resort. Having read the reviews on this site I was unsure whether I was going to heaven or hell. Much, much closer to heaven. I am really unsure what those reviews that trashed this resort were after, but my friends and I had a wonderful stay. The service was... more

We booked through our timeshare company RCI, and although we were a little concerned about the previous reviews we wanted to be on the beach, and so the Coral Key was the only one available with this location. We were welcomed at reception with friendly faces - a bit overwelming at first after a long journey travelling from the UK... more

After being moved from the Scorpio due to overbooking ( yet again) we ended up at the Coral Key, along with a few other unsuspecting English. The hotel is Italian run and owned.Everything from the entertainment to the tours and notice boards are in Italian. 95% of the guests are very rude Italians who push you out of the way... more

We were moved to Coral Key as Scorpio Villas was still unavailable (that's another story), looked it up on tripadvisor and similar sites and thought yuk! We travelled with friends and had 2 rooms, theirs was upstairs by main pool and not too bad, ours below was dark and as hubby is a birdwatcher wanted to be upstairs. Our rep... more

We stayed here from the 1st January 2008 at the beginning of the troubles and had a lovely time which has left me wondering if I was at the same hotel as the others who have reviewed The Coral Keys. We went through RCI as one of our bonus weeks for joining them. The hotel is quite large but split... more

it was generally very disappointing considering how much it cost to stay in the 'exclusive' part of the hotel with a 'private beach' which was full of beach boys and close to an alley which almost made it as good as a public beach. the hotel itself was generally run-down. nothing spectacular. the food was the worst - if you... more

My wife and I stayed at Coral Keys via an RCI cancellation. Before travelling I carried out extensive research and found mixed reviews. From the outset, don't even consider Coral Key, or in fact Malindi if you don't like Italians. The whole place is designed for Italian package tourits. Malindi was first taken over by the Mafia 20 years ago... more

I stayed at Coral Key for only a few days because I got sick while I was working in the area. It's a decent hotel but considering what is offered this place is very expensive compared to other hotels that I've stayed at in Kenya. We payed Ksh 8.500 (~ € 90) per night and person (!) for a double... more
