When we first arrived at Dream of Africa it all seemed really nice. Staff are really friendly and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. The whole place is dated. It feels like they have done nothing to update, refresh (apart from a coat of paint here and there) or bring in anything new for 10 or more years. The... More

The place has 5 star facilities but they need to invest more in service. Also given the price they would do well to include abit more variety in beers offered in the all inclusive package and not just tusker.

I stayed here during a family holiday and didn't want to leave!! It's an outstanding hotel in a gorgeous setting. The staff were simply amazing and catered to our ever whim with a smile. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly, helpful and made our stay even more special. The food was delicious and there was so much variety!... More

Found this as a nice place to relax. It is an ideal spot for weddings and honeymoon as per the way it is set up. It is shares a property with its sister hotel so if you have a big crowd that cannot afford this hotel they can easily stay in the in the sister hotel Le Gemma which is... More

Orignally booked in the hotel next door, we were upgraded due to the tragic downturn in tourism in the coastal resorts of Kenya. First Kenya does have problems, but malindi and the people of Malindi are so far away from this. our arrival and stay was truly amazing, after spending the prior week in tented camps, flushing toilets (with petals... Stayed here for 2 nights over the Madaraka holidays and men I was thoroughly impressed. It's a nice and quiet place to relax and have a good time, whether alone or in a group. The food was very fresh and fantastically cooked! Loved the bitings provided throughout the day. I swear I grew fatter in those two days :-) Rooms... More

We orginally booked the Sandies next door but as it is low season we were re-booked (free of charge) to the DOA. We personnaly enjoy the quite but were afraid it would be too quite... We'll it was surely quite but we enjoyed every second of it. I would defintely recommend this hotel and certainly in low season. Still 36°C,... More

We didn't originally book this hotel. Three times after the Foreign Office warnings about Mombassa (where we were supposed to go) we reject this place as a viable option as an alternative. When we finally had to accept it, and based on what we really wanted and had booked, we did so with some trepiadtion. One of the conditions that... More

This place is very nice. From the arrival, the staff was very friendly and we felt really welcomed. We decided to upgrade to a suite S3 which was really worth the additional money. The room and the separate lounge are extensive and the direct access to the restaurant, swimming pool and beach is really good when you have a little... More

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Access to the beach for a walk was a plus for us. The wireless wifi in some areas was also welcome. The rooms were very spacious and clean - with numerous towel changes. The staff were hospitable, accomodating and professional. The only thing was a request for increase or more variety in the breakfast menu... More
