I stayed two nights - December 4 and 5, 2013 - in a standard room in this hotel when touring Malindi. Check in took some time; although I had made a booking by telephone a few days earlier, the check in staffer didn't seem aware and it left me feeling that if it were the high season, with almost all... Stayed here 3 nights. It's not far from the airport, a short walk to many shops and of course a big Nakmatt and a short walk to the sea. There seemed to be some ambitions in the past to make this a really nice hotel but these seem to have been forgotten. The staff are courteous although a bit too... More

Checked in into this hotel at night on 29th July,2013 whilst on transit to Kenya's northern territory. To be honest I had not done earlier booking and standard rooms were full.Checking in was ,nevertheless swift, and I was upgraded to a suite at the price of a standard room as the standard rooms were full.To my astonishment there was nothing great about... The hotel is far from the beach, needs major maintenance works and the food is at best mediocre. The music is too loud during dinner and breakfast and I spent one of my worst nights in 12 years in Kenya there. The mosquito net seemed to be designed to keep them in instead of out and I was sucked dry... More

I stayed at Eden Roc for 6 nights. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel manager is great! The food was good, the rooms were clean, and the pools were lovely. The town of Malindi is safe and clean. You can walk the main street after dark without any issues. I would definitely stay here again and bring more... More

The location of the hotel is great and the staff are very friendly. In fact they even gave me an upgrade to a better room. The food is nice and the music in the evening was great. The hotel has nice a lotf of land that goes all the way to the beach. However, they need to renovate the hotel... More

Excellent location, two security points upon entrance, good reception by the porter at the entrance, carried our luggage. A lot of improvement in gardening and reception. Check in service was well done and our luggage was taken to the rooms while we had a drink by the main pool restaurant , dhow Grill. Clean environment. The service was a bit... More

Had originally booked to stay for three nights but left after one night for a far better hotel, also in Malindi. Poor maintenance - TV and fridge didn't work. No curtain in bathroom and could be seen from outside walkway. Room was dirty with ants, large lizard and other insects. Poor security - non-existent for an area where security is... More

Pros: Good location, nice pools, lovely beachfront. The staff was excellent. Reasonable prices for food/drinks. Cons: Run down, shower was always backed up, air conditioning did not work especially well.
