We had a couple of extra days in Kenya after a week staying with friends and game viewing etc. Decided to do the beach. Had stayed at Hemingways a few years ago and found it expensive and not value for money. This property is not on Wamatu Beach, but on Malindi Beach, which is closer to the town. Never stayed... more

I visited Tropical Village with my boyfriend from 15th-22nd July. On arrival we were met by extremely accomodating hotel staff and a refreshing cocktail. The hotel immediately had the 'wow' factor as we were taken to our rooms. ROOMS On entering our room I was very surpised to see how spacious the rooms were - the bed was even 7... more

What can I say about this hotel other than that it is perfect and a small taste of paradise… Having arrived at the hotel for a 10 night stay having been on safari for 5 days we couldn't have asked for more. We arrived at the hotel at 11 o'clock after a long journey from the airport having had an... more

We just returned from tropical village resort - five night stay following a 7 day safari. Very relaxing and enjoyable, the staff were friendly, food excellent, rooms clean and large. All inclusive was great - did not spend a penny all the five days we were there. You do have to pay for some activities eg diving and watersports. The... more

Like most guests we arrived at the Tropical Beach following a gruelling (but fantastic safari), week. From the moment we arrived at 11pm we were pampered and well looked after and spent a lovely week lazing around. We upgraded to a junior suite during our stay and found the location of the room ideal. The rooms were around the front... more

Pro : - Large rooms - Cleaning not perfect, but OK. - Good italian food (Buffet only) - Very good security - Near "Malindi Beach" hotel, where you can have excellent "Restaurant à la carte" with very honest prices. (15-25 euros) - Small market where you can buy souvenirs directly with people that make them. Very good price if you... more

Have just returned from Malindi, and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The sail store is up and running and there are no building works now taking place. We were originally booked into Coconut Village (next door but one) and that is now closed for refurbishment but will open very shortly. Due to it being the low season, Tropical Beach was very... more

Building work about to commence and the best rooms in the new wing will be closed as they will be next to the building site. This hotel is one of 3 in Malindi which are Italian owned. The majority of the guests are Italian - many arriving in large groups. There were many compliants of Italians making noise on their... more
