We took five clients this resort with our company Continental Tours and Safaris for three nights.Coconut Village is a picturesque vacation resort set on a stretch of Silversands beach in Malindi, Kenya. Coconut Village is within 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Malindi and easily accessible by road. The resort is known for its beautiful white beaches and tranquil... More

Nairobi is a relatively short flight from Johannesburg. After that you still have to transfer to Mombasa however. And then it's about an hour long drive to Malindi. So, the trip takes almost a full day. We arrived shortly before midnight and were very grateful to be offered something to eat before we went to bed. We checked into a... More

Spent a month there and found service and staff to be just great food was good and evenings round the pool with a brandy finished my day of really well I thought the management went that extra bit extra to make everything as good as it should be and all of the staff were most helpful and always happy to... We arrived after lunch concluded and were met with 'sandwiches', also known as two slices of thick slightly stale bread with a thin piece of unidentifiable meat. The rooms are nothing like what is portrayed on the website. Spartan and tiny. 'Deluxe beachfront'? I think not. I write this while currently residing at the hotel. Having enjoyed endless power cuts... More

What a wonderful resort. We travelled as 3 single girls, sharing a triple family room. It had a large comfy double bed and a single bed, both surrounded by mosquito nets. There is a large walk in cupboard and a gigantic bathroom - perfect for three girls. There are 3 swimming pools and a private beach, overlooking the actual beach.... More

We were here in 2009 for a short stay and decided to stay again this year for 6 days. Price was good, food great, housekeeping fabulous, but the beach boys spoiled it. Everytime a person was close to the beach you got pestured. Pool was good, if a person was left alone. My wife and I spent two months in... More

We stayed at 'Coconut' for 5 days, followed by 2 days next door at Plan Hotel's other property, Tropical Village. Malindi's notorious beach boys did prove a menace, as we were warned, at both properties, but the area is beautiful, and the staff were great. Food was also varied, and good. The rooms at Coconut (though sea-facing in some cases)... More

We stayed for 6 nights in December. Coconut village is part of the Plan Hotels group which has 3 more hotels in malindi, almost neighbouring one another. Coconut is the smaller and quieter one. with fewere faimiles and children. Ideal for a romantic holiday with just your spouse. We were upgraded to the beach front room whch was just perfect.... My partner and I spent ten days in Coconut Village in February last year and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is simple but all you need is there. We recommend to book a room with a sea view, that was what made our holiday so special. Each morning we just opened the door and were on the beautiful white... More
