We stayed at Kibo Safari Camp in mid January 2012. The setting is surreal as you swim with a picture perfect view of Kilimanjaro. We enjoyed the ambience and the space was conducive to meeting other travelers. The food wasn't anything overly special but the service was phenomenal. It is a smaller resort with a real personal feel. We enjoyed... More

We stayed at this camp during our trip in Mid-December 2011. This resort is not too big and doesn’t get crowded. There is a large pool and access to the park is very close tot he camp. The rooms were clean and the staffs were accommodating. The waiters were very accommodating and provide specials for the kids. The food is... More

this is not an overly priced camp, and therefore much can be forgiven, such as the average food, and the service sometimes not very professional. The location is just next to the eastern entrance to Amboseli. We would have probably been more impressed if the Kilimanjaro had not been stubbornly shrouded in clouds. The tents are well appointed and clean... More

Just outside of the park. Bonfire and Masaï dancers. Buffet did not have that much of a choice. Mid-range tents with all you need including a very powerful shower. More

Kibo Safari Camp is outside Amboseli NP, but nearer than some of its competition. Its proximity to Mt. Kilimanjaro affords commanding views of this major attraction. These factors, plus its somewhat lower cost and rather comfortable beds, are the camp's strengths. With the exception of family units, its closely spaced tents are on the small side and most are showing... More

By some standards in Kenya, this is not an over the top luxury camp...but it's not like camping as I know it in Canada! From the comfy four poster queen size bed draped with mosquito netting to the clean western style flushie and hot water shower, the surreal view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the near distance dominates! Just look at... More

Due to a ceremony in Nairobi we were stranded for several hours on the airstrip in Masai Mara arrived very late in Amoboseli. We were tired and just had something to drink before going to bed. The tent was not so luxurious , but it was clean and you could really take a hot shower !! Everyone was very friendly.... More

We stayed here for two nights. The food was decent to good, highlights being the soup and the local vegetable produce (tomatoes, onions). The tents were simple but clean, with hot water and electricity working flawlessly. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Only drawback was the road just outside the hotel to the national park- it was very very bumpy, especially in... More

My husband and I stayed at Kibo Safari Camp for three nights, and loved it!! We felt that it was a very authentic and cultural Kenyan experience, and even though it was not the most luxurious camp in the world, it certainly had the most charm and personality out of any tented camp we stayed in during our safari. Given... More
