Having stayed in 3 different Sopa Lodges (Naivasha, Mara and Amboseli), this was by far our favourite. The lodge is wonderfully set with views on Mount Kilimandjaro and the morning views on the mountain are simply breathtaking! Make sure to wake up early as it hides quickly behind clouds! The rooms are set in the gardens and are simple but... More

We spent two nights in this lodge which was pleasantly very clean and comfortable. The elephant theme in our room was a bit of fun, and whilst not as spacious as some of the other sopa lodges we still enjoyed our stay. The food was very very good and of a better standard than other lodges on our safari. The... More

We staid one night. Good and wide rooms; good food and good service. Many monkeys live in this lodge, among a variety of nice tropical trees and flowers. Some rooms have a direct view of the Kilimanjaro. Not so near to the entrance of Amboseli park.

This is the seventh year that I have returned to Kenya. On all seven trips, we have booked exclusively with Amboseli Sopa Lodge. The lodge and grounds are beautiful. The Maasai Bomas surrounding the lodge are welcoming and worth multiple trips. The animals are plentiful which can be enjoyed on your game drives. The rooms are spacious with warm showers,... More

We spent 12 days on safari and stayed in various lodges, but this one was by far our favourite. The staff was extremely nice and chatty. Food was restaurant quality with set menus offered for lunch and dinner. There was plenty of options for breakfast, so even fussy eaters would find something nice for themselves. The lunch box was also... More

Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful location with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro - early in the morning before the clouds come down! Lovely (but cold) swimming pool. Very friendly staff, comfortable lodges, good food. Had two fantastic game drives and saw so much wildlife. Our first time in Kenya and it was a fantastic introduction, Power and hot water... More

We loved this lodge! After staying in 2 other different lodges this was probably our favourite of the 3. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms- quaint 'Masai' mud hut style lodges! So cute. Mosquito nets. Veranda area. Safe. Shower bathroom. Candles for when the lights go out. Torch provided. Mosquito spray. Electric / hot water - morning and evening for... More

This lodge could be so lovely, but waiting till 6:30pm to switch your lights on or plug in your phone is a bit basic. I have been to many other lodges who are Eco friendly but use solar power for the basics. Coming back from a long game drive I want to be sure I can have a hot shower... More
