We stayed there in March 2015 via a travel agency. The place is interesting with clay houses, friendly staff (as most places in Africa). Nice welcome, restorant and bar qvailable. The cleanliness, quality of sleeping and good is to be improved.

First of all you get a great view of Mt Kilimanjaro (You might have to get up early to beat the mist). Accommodation basic but good, Electricity is timed but that not a problem. Food was excellent as was the view from the restaurant. Masai Warrior out side the restaurant to chase away the monkeys

The staff and the chef were really very helpful to us. When we first came we immediately asked for the chef since we wanted food specific to our choice. The chef understood our requirements for the food and tried his best to meet our expectations and even exceeded them. Each evening he prepared something special for us. The room quality... More

We were welcomed with a cold drink and cool face towels. The hotel stuff are very friendly and helpful. They know how to handle children and have fun activities like fishing organized for them. The food was quite nice with themed nights each night we spend there. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is big has amenities one should expect... More

The Amboseli Sopa was our first stop of a 7 day safari within Kenya. It was arranged through Born Free Tours which did an outstanding job in every way. It met our expectations based on previous reviews. The lodge is a short ride from the park entrance. It was our understanding that lodges inside are considerably more costly and since... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge. We had a very nice lodge with 2 big beds. Although I'm not really fund of carpet in a room it was very clean. A very clean bathroom 2. The pool with view on the Kilimanjaro is amazing. The staff and also the food were excellent. We had nothing to complain... More

This was my first safari experience and it could not have been better. If I only had one day to go on safari, the first day's experience here would have been enough! David, guide was focused on giving us the best views of the animals, and we got very close - very exciting. The lodge and rooms were adorably designed... More

This was the first stop on our Safari. The lobby and restraurant were very nice. We loved the bar.... As for the rooms... They could use some serious remodeling.. No hot water for showers at times.. The WiFi in the lobby is sketching at best... The food was good. The people were very nice. The view on the mountain was... More

Quite dated and and in need of some sprucing up. The food was edible but very unimaginative. Breads was often stale. The staff were great. Internet was dead. Even paying by card was an issue with the gentleman having to walk out side with his device and hold it high up. Not their fault of course as it is remote.... More
