The Amboseli Sopa was our first stop of a 7 day safari within Kenya. It was arranged through Born Free Tours which did an outstanding job in every way. It met our expectations based on previous reviews. The lodge is a short ride from the park entrance. It was our understanding that lodges inside are considerably more costly and since... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge. We had a very nice lodge with 2 big beds. Although I'm not really fund of carpet in a room it was very clean. A very clean bathroom 2. The pool with view on the Kilimanjaro is amazing. The staff and also the food were excellent. We had nothing to complain... More

This was my first safari experience and it could not have been better. If I only had one day to go on safari, the first day's experience here would have been enough! David, guide was focused on giving us the best views of the animals, and we got very close - very exciting. The lodge and rooms were adorably designed... More

This was the first stop on our Safari. The lobby and restraurant were very nice. We loved the bar.... As for the rooms... They could use some serious remodeling.. No hot water for showers at times.. The WiFi in the lobby is sketching at best... The food was good. The people were very nice. The view on the mountain was... More

Quite dated and and in need of some sprucing up. The food was edible but very unimaginative. Breads was often stale. The staff were great. Internet was dead. Even paying by card was an issue with the gentleman having to walk out side with his device and hold it high up. Not their fault of course as it is remote.... More

This was the first lodge I stopped over during my week long safari in Kenya. The staff are polite and helpful ( like you see in all other lodges in Kenya). The reception and restaurant area are simple and more like a home setting. Food is delicious and the spread for break fast and dinner was reasonable while lunch we... More

Our first stop during a 7 day safari tour. Warm welcome, many hands to carry luggage when one trolley would suffice. Clean hotel with friendly staff and good food. Variety on offer may be limited for some, though for us it was satisfactory as we were more interested in the wildlife at the park. Somewhat distant from the park and... More

This was the first lodge my family and I stayed in during our Kenyan safari, so I didn't really know what to expect. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a traditional Maasai tribe leader (quite tall!) and were given a glass of fruit juice, before being taken to our rooms. There were a group of people waiting to take our... More

Planning to visit one of Kenya National parks for a Game Drive in Amboseli and would like to experience some luxury, this is the place to be. Excellent location, beautiful surroundings, very nice tented camps to spend the night after tiring game drive.

Nice hotel with beautiful and comfortable rooms. Staff is very helpful and kind. They don't push you to pay for all... The food is very good and various. The view is very very amazing with the Kilimanjaro just in front of the restaurant. Caution to people who are scared with monkeys. Some families live in the hotel abx they love... More
