1/30/2015 and 1/31/2015 Tortilis camp was the perfect camp to start our adventure of a life time. Great location, not to big a camp it had a very personal touch like everybody new one another. the food terrific, the game viewing great and our guide ALI WAS WONDERFUL. Landing from Nairobi to the sight of Mount Kilimanjaro makes for a splendid start to our safari and Joel our excellent guide showed us so much on the drive from the airstrip. Amboseli is rightly renowned for elephants but we saw so much more including great birdlife. The camp is sited to give superb views from the bar and dining... More

We stayed at Tortilis for 3 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The camp is very well designed with great views from the bar / lounge areas and the dining area. The tent we stayed in did not have a great view of Kilimanjaro, but I am sure some of the other ones do and the view from the... More

This camp is such a treasure. The safari begins as soon as you leave the airplane. Mt Kilimanjaro is so very majestic that it just takes your breath away. Ali was our safari guide and he did an unbelievable job of finding what we wanted to see and giving us the experience of a lifetime. The tent facilities and food... More

A smooth transfer from the airstrip viewing wildlife on the way back to camp. Warmly greeted by Manuela and Andrea and we were lucky enough to enjoy the luxury and beauty of the family house. Kilimanjaro obliged us by showing itself every morning and evening. The food was great, plentiful and very varied. We enjoyed the time spent there enormously.

Before anything the views take you away. the staff is great the food is wonderful and the service is great as well. Joseph our guide set up up with a bush breakfast and at the end of the day before we returned to camp for dinner we had a nice cocktail on a hilltop overlooking the plains. Cannot say enough.

Amazing far reaching views and we were lucky that the clouds cleared one day to allow us uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp is fenced, although only waist-high, and I’m not sure I’d want to rely on it keeping all wildlife out – although the camp was happy for guests to walk anywhere in camp after dark. There is... More

Tortillis was a great way to begin our adventures in Kenya. The guides were very friendly and so were the staff. We had a very nice greeting at our charter plane and were taken on a slow drive to the camp so we could see the wildlife. The first siting is always very exciting. The rooms were very nice, although... More

What a great way to get away from Nairobi and all the very early Christmas fuss. We've had 2 wonderful nights in Tortilis Camp in Amboseli and came back feeling revived and ready for the festivities. Great Family Tent for us. We were two adults and three young children and the tents were interconnected with plenty of space for everyone.... More
