This was my favorite part of our Abercrombie and Kent 14 day safari. The view is fantastic, the food was by far the best on the trip. Probably because they have their own expansive garden. The animals we saw were wide and varied. In fact, we are planning on going back just to stay at this camp.

We had visited Tortilis Camp 15 years ago as a family. We revisited them in May this year with a friend. To our delight the camp has managed to maintain the ambiance, good service and tantalizing food. The camp arranged a freshly cooked breakfast in a very scenic location facing mount Kilimanjaro.......amazing!! We stayed in the family room waking up to majestic... More

My family and I have lived in Kenya for over two years and travel extensively. We have a lot of experience with safari lodges and we absolutely adored everything about Tortilis camp. The setting is incredible -- remote, unrivaled views of Kilimanjaro and set in the Western part of the park so you can easily traverse the park but also... More

My friend and I were fortunate to stay at Tortilis Camp in mid March and for the most part we really enjoyed it. The tents were rustic but very comfortable and I still think that there should be fans in the rooms. I requested one and was rudely told that "Well, you are in Africa you know". The restaurant and... Landing from Nairobi to the sight of Mount Kilimanjaro makes for a splendid start to our safari and Joel our excellent guide showed us so much on the drive from the airstrip. Amboseli is rightly renowned for elephants but we saw so much more including great birdlife. The camp is sited to give superb views from the bar and dining... More

We stayed at Tortilis for 3 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The camp is very well designed with great views from the bar / lounge areas and the dining area. The tent we stayed in did not have a great view of Kilimanjaro, but I am sure some of the other ones do and the view from the... More

A smooth transfer from the airstrip viewing wildlife on the way back to camp. Warmly greeted by Manuela and Andrea and we were lucky enough to enjoy the luxury and beauty of the family house. Kilimanjaro obliged us by showing itself every morning and evening. The food was great, plentiful and very varied. We enjoyed the time spent there enormously.
