After years of reading about Amboseli I finally managed to visit and found the ecosystem incredible, a bit of an elephant junkie it was fantastic to see so many so relaxed - the camp managed to arrange for me to visit the Elephant Trust of Amboseli and to chat with the research team there which was a real highlight. A beautiful camp in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro, right next to a watering hole frequented by wildlife.. The tents are beautifully equipped, the food was beyond any expectations. Our guide (Ali) was beyond wonderful.. Went the extra mile (more like 20 miles) always trying to and usually succeeded in finding all the best spots and experiences.. Everything was beyond... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed Amboseli and, in particular, our stunning views. We do hope you’ll decide to come back one day, maybe after the rainy season to enjoy a different (wonderfully green) Amboseli... Best wishes, Ali, Manuela, Andrea and all at Tortilis Camp More

This was the first stop on our safari trip and it set very high expectations. The guiding and service was top notch, the rooms were comfortable and the food was just outstanding (even without factoring in the remote location!). The managers were very friendly and kind and we loved coming back from our game drives and sitting at the bar... More

Amazing resort, amazing staff, wonderful a views of Kilimanjaro in the distance! It's not just about the elephants! Couldn't believe it when we saw a mother and 2 baby cheetahs playing followed by a baby lion cub on the second day Wonderful combination to the mara. Booked through Mahlatini travel! They are amazing!!!!!

On a recent safari, we stayed 2 nights in this camp. The facilities are lovely. Great common areas and the tents are really lovely. Wonderful views of a watering hole and Mt. Kilimanjaro. The only problem is that the tents are a long way, down a steep hill from the common area. If you need something in your tent, you... More

This was my favorite part of our Abercrombie and Kent 14 day safari. The view is fantastic, the food was by far the best on the trip. Probably because they have their own expansive garden. The animals we saw were wide and varied. In fact, we are planning on going back just to stay at this camp.

My family and I have lived in Kenya for over two years and travel extensively. We have a lot of experience with safari lodges and we absolutely adored everything about Tortilis camp. My friend and I were fortunate to stay at Tortilis Camp in mid March and for the most part we really enjoyed it.
