This Serena is fantastic. We had a fantastic room with king bed facing Mt. Kilimanjaro. The authentic African/Maasai design and decoration both inside the room and out was beautiful. Room was spotless and felt brand new. Bed was fabulous and room was very nice. Bathroom - excellent. The small touches were noticed and gave it the extra punch. Lodge itself... more

This is a Serena lodge, so you will not be disappointed. The service is good, although not as personal as some of the smaller camps. The rooms are very nice and comfortable with good views over the plains. The food is good, buffet style like most lodges. There is a pool but we didn't use it - too busy watching... more

I really enjoyed my stay at the Amboseli Serena. I arrived via Air Kenya extremely early in the morning (flight from Nairobi). Serena was waiting for me when the plane touched down and I got to see animals right away as I drove from the airplane to the lodge. Upon arrival I was greeted with champagne to "brighten the morning"... more

After staying at Voi Safari in the East and Kiliguni in the West although both had their own reasons for being exceptionally good, Serena for me was the best, the grounds, dining room, bedrooms with animal paintings on the walls, the bathroom all beautiful, dressing gowns provided and small patio, the food was excellant, the best we'd had, so much... more

The lodge is located in very nice grounds. The rooms are average size, some have views, some do not. The restaurant offers a good variety of dishes. If you sit outside to eat, the monkeys can be a nuisance. The pool area is very nice and some of our group took advantage of this altough the water was a little... more

Quite a large property. Rooms run out in rows in various directions. Some have views of the bush, other have no view beyond a few yards from their window. It would be hard to identify which you should avoid when requesting a booking. Rooms are usual hotels style layout and size, nothing small but not large. If you're used to... more

My husband and I stayed at the Amboselli Serena Lodge during a July visit to Kenya and Tanzania. We both absolutely loved the lodge. The service was beyond belief, and the decor creative and whimsical. I especially liked the lions painted on the walls over our bed. During this visit I became ill and had to extend my stat at... more

I actually really enjoyed this lodge. I loved the decor and the grounds. I felt very at home here and thought the staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were a little on the small side but were clean and neat. The amount of monkeys around are a little creepy as they tend to be quite aggresive. The food was... more

I stayed here with a friend for two nights as part of a 12 day safari with Kensington Tours and really enjoyed the property. Rooms were average size and well maintained. The grounds are very nice. There's a gift shop and a pool, but it was too cool to swim. The food was very good. All in all I would... more
