Mini vans, particularly crowded minivans lead to mediocre viewing with the best of guides. Gamewatchers / Porini has developed a way to pair the best of game viewing with supported 'camping' to provide a remarkable value. Buy the 6-day package: private flights, two amazing areas, and all details organized and included in the remarkably low price. Open vehicles and top... More

The staff are warm and welcoming and you feel like you are one of the family by the time you leave. The opportunity to drive off road is priceless and something that can't be done in the national parks. Saw lots of elephants and lions. The food is top notch so you don't need to worry about going hungry. Don't... More

Sorry about the delay in writing my review.... I spent about 6 - 7 months researching different safari options in Kenya and I finally settled on the Gamewatchers Porini Adventure Camps and I am so glad I did... I could not fault the experience in any way.... The camp was great, the food was surprisingly amazing considering the remoteness of... More

This is a wonderful low key place. It was very quiet when we were there, which really enhanced our bush experience. We were extremely well fed, with sundowners and picnic breakfasts. We saw many elephants, which is why I went there. We love the way the local Maasai run the camp and we had a fascinating visit to a Maasai... More

The adventure camping is great! It was far much better that we had expected. We were impressed by the organization, the toilets and the beauty of the place. The food was excellent, and I must say that Solomon, our chef in Selenkay did make me put on some extra weight while there. He is great! As for the game drives,... More

Our stay at the Gamewatchers Adventure Camp surpassed all our expectations. We saw more wildlife on the drive from the airstrip to the camp than I would have expected to see in a week. Service was first class, from the meals to the game drives. Everyone at the camp went out of their way to make our trip a memorable... More

The reason for 5 stars is that I think this is the best value you can find for the quality of game drives, food, service, and accommodations. Despite being a low-cost safari option, there is positively no compromise made on the quality of game drives at this camp. The two men crew on every game drive is the best feature... More

I wish I was back here. I stayed in the camp for 3 nights and it was great. It wasn't long after being picked up from the airport that we were watching 3 cheetahs do their thing. They looked for a good meal and then for some good shade. They didn't find a meal, but they did find shade. Wilson... More

Our trip was wonderful. Light aircraft flight (Yellow wings) from Nairobi Wilson on time and comfortable with Martin as pilot. Saw cheetahs between air stip in Selenkay and camp. Everything was far more than expected, including food, tents, toilet (flush!) and bucket shower. Slept better here on mattress than at home on expensive new bed! Animal viewing was incredible. Wilson... More

Gamewatchers sorted out our various flights and all our transfers past without a hitch. We loved our time at Selenkay. The staff and guides there were fantastic and so enthusiastic. The tents were a good size with comfortable mattresses - we are not campers but all 5 of us slept well at night and were warm enough in September. The... More
