On arriving, we were met by our guide, Julius, who immediately drove us past as many animals as I ever hoped to see, before we returned to the airstrip to pick up more guests. It was a magical introduction. Our entrance to the Lodge was to see two elephants in the swamp very close to us , just grazing away.... More

Tawi Lodge is a dream come true. The rooms (tents) are absolutely fantastic, but the view from the dining and reception are is beyond belief. When registering we watched an elephant bathing in the watering hole near the pool. My biggest compliment is to the chef. I have multiple food allergies, all of which were taken care of, and the... We started our Kenya safari in Amboseli, staying at the Tawi lodge for three nights, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Although just a few minutes from the entrance to Amboseli Park itself, we actually had elephants, zebra, giraffes, warthog, antelopes of various sorts, and baboons visiting the lodge's waterhole, only one hundred yards or so from where... Tawi is by far the best place I have stayed in Kenya. Everything about it is perfect, from the moment you arrive it is nothing short of fantastic. Ron, the manager is the perfect host and the staff are just as perfect. It is 5 minute's from Amboseli, but in all honesty the wildlife at the camp is just as... More

I have stayed in several lodges and camps in Kenya and Tanzania, but this was my best experience so far. We came with our teenage son who got his own villa - all the villas are large, comfortable, and well furnished, with enormous bathrooms and huge verandahs - we got up on the second morning to see a beautiful view... Nothing but praise for this place - such a beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Elephants, zebras and camels wonder past your decked terrace as you sip your morning coffee. Some of the best food I've had in Kenya (I live here) and staff are attentive yet discreet. 100% worth going there, don't even hesitate!

Gorgeous lodge in Amboseli. Lovely 3 course meals within a beautiful setting. The swimming pool is fresh water and well worth a dip as the zebras come to drink metres from you. Very relaxing lounge area also with a real fire. Rooms are well equipped with huge verandas for wildlife spotting. Well worth it!

Tawi Lodge and staff are fantastic. Five stars and no less. Best views of Kilimanjaro in the morning and really wonderful staff. Birders need not leave the hotel grounds and animal lovers can relax and just look at the water hole. After having been to many other reserves I would only do one morning drive and a walk later. Just... More

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Tawi Lodge and could not recommend it more highly. Ron, Tawi’s affable and very knowledgeable manager, made a strong and very pleasant first impression. He knows people exceptionally well and very accurately gauges the type of experience you’re looking to have. He immediately put as at ease. Upon arrival, he explained how terrifically... More

We stayed in Tawi in June 2013. We only stayed two nights however it was part of our plan to do a couple of days safari and then have some island time in Tanzania. We stayed overnight in Nairobi first and then got picked up and taken to the domestic airport early doors. On arrival in Amboseli we were greeted... More
