Yes, it can be done. As a family of five; Kids aged two, seven and eight years old - we are acutely aware of the noise and general annoyance little ones might cause other guests. This was, as far as I know, no problem at Tawi Lodge. Partly because of the idyllic and secluded surroundings, but mostly because of the... More

We have stayed several (3) times at Tawi and every time it is a great pleasure (that's why we come back!). We love the magnificent secluded spot, where it is always a surprise to find which game will come to visit the watering hole. The professional friendly staff, incl the very competent manager, makes the stay extra enjoyable. The solar... More

We started out our safari experience at Tawi Lodge and we're delighted with it. We were the only guests there that night and were in the first cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the bath tub was divine, our only tub on safari. The food was very plentiful and well prepared and delicious. We invited Menno, the manager, to... More

Friends raved about this place and I had been trying to go for a while. Unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations, which, admittedly, are high. Suffice to say the service we experienced was poor, a cross between Faulty Towers and Holidays From Hell! While the staff were generally nice, the manager was quite unfriendly and rather rude. Which... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Tawi for 2 nights (too short!!) in April. We were welcomed by the staff and the manager (Mennow? not sure of spelling, who took every oppurtunity to make sure everything was perfect) who were all very friendly indeed. We hadn't expected to find such a gem! Fantastic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro right from... More

Upon our arrival at Tawi Lodge we were given a very warm welcome by the very proud Manager and his friendly staff. We were shown around the beautiful grounds and to our Cottages which were a welcome sight. The stunning Cottages had a wonderful view of the highest mountain in Africa even from the comfort of your bed and bath... More

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful! I went to Tawi before going to Amboseli. I just expected a nice place to sleep. Instead, I found myself in paradise, overlooking a waterhole, with ostrich, giraffe, elephants and baboons coming in for a drink after a long day in the bush. They were close, very close, and magnificant to see. We felt safe, were treated... More

A very well run camp, the general manager was the most thorough manager of any camp we stayed in. Cottages look out to Mt Kilimanjaro (unless the clouds are hiding it). Food was well presented, service was excellent. We enjoyed eating while watching the watering hole and all the animal activity. Who needs safari car rides when it is all... More

Tawi Lodge, is a sight for sore eyes after the long drive. We did a game drive through the Amboseli and got out on the Kemana gate which is closer to Tawi. The first notable thing was that there were staff members waiting at the Junction to direct us to the lodge as we drove ourselves form Nairobi. The rooms are... More

Tawi Lodge is beautiful all cottages have views of Mt. Kili. All the staff are helpful and want to make your stay special. If you inform the Lodge of your dietary requirements before you arrive they will cater for you. Supplies come from Nairobi so they need advance warning I have allergies and this is the first time I have... More
