Once I started writing this review I just couldn’t stop… I was lucky enough to spend 5 nights at this camp in July 2015. I was travelling as part of a group (10 people) as a celebration primarily to celebrate a 30th birthday but also, recently married, my husband and I decided we would treat this as our ‘buddy-moon’. There... More

This place is the most amazing experience, Satao Elerai is highly recommended to all. The views of Mount Kilimanjaro are breath-taking which makes for perfect locations around the camp for sundowners never to be forgotten! We were extremely well looked after by the staff who were all lovely, Sammy & Benson were amazing on our drives, so much knowledge and... More

We visited Elerai last week with a large group of friends. What an incredible experience and thoroughly recommended. Elerai offers luxury surroundings in an unfenced camp, making it a luxurious and exciting place to stay. Every detail was considered; we had hot water bottles in the bed upon returning to the room to sleep! The food was fantastic with excellent... More

We were blown away by our stay at Elerai. The small touches of hot waterbottles in the bed and wet flannels to great you back from a dusty safari really cap off what is a superb camp. Every day we say elephants by the watering hole over breakfast and our game drivers were very knowledgeable with a keen eye. Authentic,... More

Arriving at Satao Elerai without luggage (lost in transit during our long flight from Australia) didn't stop us having a wonderful experience for our very first safari. We were so well looked after in all areas, with magnificent views of Mt Kilimanjaro from our tents, fantastic food and a wonderful driver (hi Benson, we loved your passion for sharing your... More

Satao Elerai Camp is the only camp in the Satao Elerai Conservancy - 12 Kms from Amboseli national park which is famous for its elephants - under Dr Cynthia Moss's elephant project started in the 1970s, the elephants of Amboseli are the longest studied elephants in the wild giving an insight into their behaviour - so much that we did... My friend and I booked a night in this camp at the last minute and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everything is just right: every single one of the staff was very friendly and professional, each meal was excellent, the rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, the sundowner which includes a cocktail and snacks as you watch the... I say mostly because getting there was the only terrible part. The 5km drive in couldn't have been more bumpy, dusty or uncomfortable. And we had to do it each time we left on a game drive. I say it wasn't worth it, but my husband says it was. The best part was waking up to see Mt. Kilamanjaro in... More

When my family and I were looking for a location to have my 'Bush' Wedding, we came across Satao Elerai. This place could not have been more perfect. What beautiful views of Kilimanjaro, the peaceful surroundings and overall really nice place to stay! What made it come together was the staff and how we were all looked after and accommodated.... This was our first destination on our first visit to Kenya and set the tone for the rest of our trip. To get there, we flew to Amboseli from Nairobi where our guide Nyaga met us and drove us to the camp via the park. Thus, we enjoyed our first game drive on the way! It is quite far to... More
