We spent three nights at satao Elerai Camp .. The lodge is managed by wonderful people and is located in the middle of a conservancy with elephants, giraffes, zebras and lions .... they are nice and very customer oriented .. The view of Kili is breathless .. specially in the morning .. The camp has no fences and if you... More

This camp is wonderful - location with Mt Kilimanjaro in front, large spacious tent, amazing pool, gorgeous resturant and bar area, short distance from Amboseli National Park, warm friendly staff, lovely food and the amazing spotted Janet cat that visited our table at dinner! My husband and I were the only two guests on the night we stayed which was... More

We recently stayed at Satao Elerai on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The views are breathtaking, the tents are spacious and well appointed and the service is attentive and friendly. As residents we considered a self drive to keep costs down but were glad that we opted for the ground package instead which was worth the... More

We got into the Satao Elerai camp in the late afternoon and were disappointed that Mt Kilimanjaro was hidden behind clouds. In the morning, I unzipped our tent to reveal a magnificent view of the mountain fully exposed directly in front of our room! We had a great rest in our comfortable bed, a hot shower and great breakfast to... More

This camp is really good, the tents are very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The common zones are rustic but nice, lovely fireplace, the food is excelent, the view is really nice especially if you get to see the top of the Kilimanjaro just from the deck of your tent. Very convenient because it is close (20')... More

Satao Elerai has the most amazing views of Mt. Kilimanjaro! And they are everywhere--from the tents, from the dining area, from the pool, etc. If the view is obscured by clouds, just wait; hopefully the clouds will evaporate. The camp is delightful. The tents are large and comfortable, but not luxurious. The bar and dining area are very inviting. Thought... More

After travelling down from Naivasha and a short 5km drive in through the conservancy, we were met by Ryan, the GM, where we went through the normal formalities such as indemnity forms etc. This was after washing off some of the dirt of the road with an ice cold towel and slaking the thirst with a nice fruit juice. We... More

Satao Elerai was the first of four camps we stayed at during out two weeks safari from 25/08/14 - 06/09/14. We were greeted by Ryan who gave a brief intro & off we went to explore. This camp is heaven, really. My first view was the infinity pool with Kilimanjaro towering over the camp. Then I looked to the water... More

I have nothing negative to stay about this stunning camp, the view of Kili from our tent was amazing, Food was the best we had throughout our two week tour. Ryan the manager was attentive and ran a great crew of staff. We met lovely people sitting by the log fire in the evening sharing a great bottle of wine.... More

We really enjoyed this friendly tented camp. Easy and relaxing. We thought we were going to miss Mt Kilimanjaro but it didn't disappoint on our last morning the clouds lifted and there it was right in front of our tent. We had yummy lime and vodka sundowners (a surprise to us) watching the sun slowly set. The staff were friendly... More
