Satao Elerai was the first of four camps we stayed at during out two weeks safari from 25/08/14 - 06/09/14. We were greeted by Ryan who gave a brief intro & off we went to explore. This camp is heaven, really. My first view was the infinity pool with Kilimanjaro towering over the camp. Then I looked to the water... More

I have nothing negative to stay about this stunning camp, the view of Kili from our tent was amazing, Food was the best we had throughout our two week tour. Ryan the manager was attentive and ran a great crew of staff. We met lovely people sitting by the log fire in the evening sharing a great bottle of wine.... More

We really enjoyed this friendly tented camp. Easy and relaxing. We thought we were going to miss Mt Kilimanjaro but it didn't disappoint on our last morning the clouds lifted and there it was right in front of our tent. We had yummy lime and vodka sundowners (a surprise to us) watching the sun slowly set. The staff were friendly... More

What a great lodge. We visited with our 10 week old baby and the staff went well beyond their duties to look after us. Very comfortable and high quality tents looking out to snow capped Kilimanjaro. No fence around the lodge made the experience more authentic. A perfect start to the day with a wake up call and coffee in... More

The views in the morning of Mt Kilimanjaro are magic and we were fortunate to be blessed with the spectacular site on both days. This was our 2nd camp on the Out of Africa air safari and we were not disappointed. We visited a Masi village which was amazing and to go into their tiny houses was an eye opener!... More

We enjoyed one night here and it was AMAZING. Our tent (and toilet) had amazing views of Kili. The food is exceptional with the presentation you'd expect in a hatted restaurant. Our host was generous with his time and our afternoon bush walk with "George the Masai" a truly memorable experience. We loved our time here.

The second stop on our trip was to stay at Satao Elerai over near Kilimanjaro, and it did not disappoint. The view from our tent of Kili was fantastic, and the tent was first class, as was the fold and guide. Kilimanjaro was visible to us everyday, and it ws amazing. The food at Satao was excellent, with a blritish... More

We spent three 2 nights there and so many great souvenirs for the whole family:the amazing view of Mt Kilimanjaro the morning, the walk in the surrounding dry river with a great guide, the sunset on the top of a surrounding mountain, the noise of the animals the nights. Excellent food and warm welcome of the personnel fully adhering to... More

We spent four nights here and enjoyed every minute. On the second day we were able to go into Amboseli Park (half an hour away) one afternoon and early the next morning using the same 24hr ticket. But we spent a lot of time just enjoying the camp's surroundings, by sitting on the terrace and watching the water hole 400m... More

We spent one night here. Wish it could have been more. Wow. The architecture is amazing. The tents are something else. Clean, comfortable, power 24hrs. Woke up in the morning with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro! The tents are surrounded by nature, with guards to escort you to and from your tents. There were only 4 of us staying here... More
