I spent there three weeks and liked it not too much. The staff speaks relatively good english, the breakfast is quite ok. The rooms have a good size but I didn't like the one I had first - it was at the street side and was very noisy! In general you can say that you hear lots of things you... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and it's fine. Got a deal through booking.com so I think I paid about 100 euros, and that price is fair. Staff speak English and are helpful enough. It is quite old and dated, but I didn't care. Could hear a party going on next door and it sounded like someone was enjoying it.

If this hotel matches your location's purposes, you can use it for stay in almaaty. Looks like privatefamily hotel. The restaurant on 1st floor is opened all day long, offering food by reasonable price. Staff in reception is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are very big. In geheral hotel is very primitive

this hotel is located at 15 minutes by walk in between the republic square and the main almaty's park (the hotel is in the middle of this attractions). it look the tipycal business hotel with an antique style given by low lights and quite dark furniture. it's comfortable but with some details no so good as like the price let... I was the Project Manager for refurbishment project of this hotel in 2002. It is a very old building which was a Soviet Hotel before the breakdown but the building is still quite strong. Some of the rooms are are very small and some of the bigger but no standardized size. Have some connected rooms as well. No good fitness... More

Low quality place. It is lacking maintenance all over the place. The staff does not grasp the concept of privacy, they entered into my room 3 times while I was having nap (trying to adjust to 11 hours of time zone difference) to check minibar consumption, and two other things that while spoke in Kazak I didn;t get. Staff does... More

well, in general there are not too many options of high quality accommodation and prices are really high for the provided service in Almaty. If you're looking for a swimming pool, gym and other luxury, this is not your place, otherwise it's all right. Especially, staff is great - very helpful and friendly.

I've just asked my booking agent to find me another place next time. This hotel is not for me. The rooms are okay in size, but the beds are hard, the curtains don't close properly and the shower will only fit kids. But the worst is the noise. The front rooms have the traffic and subsequent smell, the back rooms... More

Reading a previous review 'you get what you pay for', I am not even sure about that statement! Its not at all worth the money I'm paying (120 USD). I would not recommend staying here unless you're not bothered by noise or drab interiors. I am staying here for business and was booked in automatically by the visiting office here... More

Average price, not 4 star, internet only works in foyer, helpful staff , room fine, breakfast good. local bar across the road full of characters, Price reasonable for Almaty, forget the stars you get what you pay for, no more and no less. I'd stay there again.
