The hotel is pretty old, the elevators are so old and a bit scary, the staff speak a poor English, The rooms face the big central hall, so there is a lot of noise and its really hard to rest, specially if you have an early flight. The rooms have terrible views, they are not modern, the tv was very... More

I stayed here three nights for business. Hotel is old and feels outdated. This was previously held by Hyatt and used to be the first 5 star hotel in Almaty (maybe even Kazachstan). besides this, the room had all you need, basic but ok. Terrace with room. If Lucky you can have great views on the mountains. reception people were... More

This hotel is not in the same league as the Ritz, Intercon or other actual luxury hotels, but it is a good choice at the right price. Rooms are clean but basic. Service is good and the breakfast is flawless. The location is not ideal if you are a tourist or want to do some touristy things in your off... More

Check in process was a mess in that we had early check in confirmed by hotel but we're made to wait 2 hours after we arrived to get out rooms. Breakfast was really good with good variety. The bar was great. Room was spacious and comfortable, Internet access was also very good.

It is obvious that this hotel had better times and now need some renovation, but still. The building itself nice and elegant. Rooms are not big but big enough. They need a bit more accurate equipment - more sockets (especially near of the bed), proper hairdryer. But in general: it is clean, linen is new. Breakfast is good. They also... More

This is an old hotel with quite old interior. Rooms are large and there is a radio/music system in the room. The TV was a very old one. Control of the radiator was broken. Breakfast is very good, lots of choices and they serve omelet as you wish. Good choice for a good price.

First the positives. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet. The amenities are not quite Economy Inn level, i.e. one tear away plastic envelop of shampoo that might lather up part of your hair; a round pellet of soap-like substance that does not seem to dissolve in water. Luckily, we brought all our own supplies and I recommend the same.... More

Overall stay was just OK. Rooms need renovation badly! Tears and wears everywhere. Heating was absent though night temps fell below 10C. 21 century did not touch the audio/TV appliances. Thank goodness I stayed there on my business trip and stayed most of a time outside of the hotel. On a positive side staff was very firendly. Breakfast was great... More

as i said the interiors are a bit old ,and rooms need to be renovated specially regarding the tv that are too old , but as i said the structure of this property with his glass cupola standing on the wood frame and giving the sun light to the lobby is unbeatable . Another golden point of this hotel is... More

Stayed for 10 nights for business. The hotel staff is extremely helpful, and very friendly. Whenever you need something they are there to get it for you. Breakfast is excellent. Very wide selection from local to international specialities, I had also open buffet lunch for a reasonable price with a big selection. The Turkish chef is very talented and friendly.... More
