Thanks for the first time in Royal Tulip Almaty - it's like a palace or beautiful museum. Kind personal provide excellent service. Rooms are big and very beautiful. I have been there for a 2 days and still remember feeling like I'm a princess ^^

the standard room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. Temp control in the room was good and the bathroom facilities fine. Food was ok too. Don't know what to compare it to in the city, but it is no Four Seasons. Just a solid hotel. Was very empty when we were there - like a ghost town -... More

We stayed at the Royal Tulip hotel in late August 2014, feeling welcome and enjoying the unusual space. This is a grand hotel in a really good part of Almaty, close to mountains we had a day trip to Chimbulak (Shymbulak), it was very easy to get in and out, but I think what makes it special is a really... This hotel is very grand and almost over the top in its decadent decor. Large, clean rooms with spacious bathrooms, but the air con doesn't really work all that well so it is quite hot in the room, while the duvets and covers are too heavy for the heat. Service in the bar was truly appalling, with staff unable to... More

I often travel of business and stayed in several hotels in Almaty. On a positive side, the rooms are huge, 3x the size you normally get elsewhere. Breakfasts are decent. The decor is tacky and in 4 rooms I have stayed in over time the shower always had an issue - the water was overflowing covering half of the bathroom... More

This hotel reminded us of places we've stayed in the Emirates - huge room, large marble bathroom with tub, walk-in shower, two sinks, and more. The bed was large and very comfortable with good linen. We appreciated it all since we had just spent a couple of weeks traveling across Central Asia by train so space and comfort and a... More

It was not the best experience i`ve ever had. Really big rooms, very nice and tasty food. But when room service trolleys passing your room? you can hear everithing is happening outside. Breakfast buffet is amazing one. Unbelievable choise of food. and delisious. Spa is also amazing. Location is far from center. Lo Wifi.

Wonderful hotel, with lovely view of the mountain from the room. Nice decor in the hotel, with impressive hallway. Would have 5 star if the room air-condition work. Room temperature is always 23.5C, no matter how low you turn down the temperature. Has to sleep with the windows open. Room is large and clean. Breakfast is reasonable with multiple choices.... More

I stayed in this hotel for a conference and although it’s quite nice I wasn’t very impressed either. On the bright side, the rooms are nice and spacious and the bed is of a good quality. Service is sometimes good, sometimes poor. I arrived in the middle of the night and had arranged a pick-up by the hotel which worked... More
