This hotel is clean, all services work and the place is good with no traffic noise. Breakfast was good with omelettes made by order. I arrived too early and extended my stay with one night, and all was arranged well without need to change the room. Thanks to the reception personal, you all were always helpful.

Only stayed here for a few nights and it was fine for that reason. Location is not bad as you can walk to several nice bars and restaurants from here. Did not have dinner in the hotel so I don't know what the food was like. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in particular the receptionist. Breakfast was very... More

The hotel isn't much to look at from outside (Soviet style architecture) but it is in a nice part of the city and the rooms were clean, beds comfortable, wifi dependable and the breakfast was plentiful with a varied selection of items. You can't ask for much more than that.

I don't understand why this hotel was rated as 4-star. I booked single room and was extremely depressed with the quality, size and facilities of the room. Small bad, small bathroom, TV that usually did not work. Only plus- free WiFi and that's all. Perhaps location of this hotel could be considered as good. However if you should spend more... More

I stayed in the Kazzhol in Almaty and Astana, and they were quite similar, in strengths and weaknesses. The hotels fit the mid-range, value for money niche more reliably than probably any competitor in Kazakhstan. Breakfast has a decent selection, staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms have all the basics, plus a pillow menu, which is a nice touch.... More

Very simple hotel but good. the room was clean and bathroom was small then there wasn't toothbrush, toothpaste and comb. Breakfast was wealthy but same everyday. Only reception speaks English. But staffs are really friendly even they cant speak English. Free wifi available, swimming pool and fitness center, room reservation accepted also accept only Tenge. One bad thing is hotel... More

I stayed 2 days, 18-20 August, Although I had a pre-paid accomodation voucher, they did not let me in without pay money and waited me 6.5 hours in the reception. The staff who is standing behind the reception desk talked with me as I told a lie. After 6,5 they accept their fault and let me do the check in,... More

The hotel is located inside a Soviet-style block of apartment buildings and it is not visible to the street. The location makes the rooms peaceful because they are not facing the street. The service in this hotel was friendly and the room was clean and bathroom was tidy. The free wifi works fast and breakfast was OK. Free drinking water... More

Kazzhol is a descent place to stay in Almaty. Rooms are spacious, clean & neat (prefer rooms in new building). Staff is helpful & most of them speak english. Breakfast is standard ( but not much variation if you going to stay for more than 3 days). In all, its worth a place to stay. Tip. - carry local currency... More

This hotel was pretty middle of the road. Not terrible, but not great either. In Almaty terms, I think it's reasonable value for money. On the plus side, it has a nice swimming pool (even if there are swimming lessons that take up half of it some evenings) and it is very centrally located, with plenty of restaurants in walking...
