I spent a week in Sendai in April and stayed at hotel Montarey. Location is great- very central and easy to get to from Sendai station, where you can find trains and buses. Hotel is clean and quiet and exactly what we needed. Stayed in a room with 2 twin beds- was actually quite spacious and comfortable. Would recommend staying... More

This was my second stay here and I picked it because of the location. I wanted it to be easy to get to the hotel with luggage coming from the train station. It ended up being easier than I anticipated! The location was great, the room size for a twin room was bigger than expected, and the staff were friendly.... More

The Hotel Monterey is in a great location. It is a short walk to Sendai Station. At Sendai Station, you will find, shopping, restaurants and a variety of buses for touring and sightseeing. The staff at the Hotel Monterey was very welcoming. Our room on the 12th floor was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It was very nice... More

Hotel Monterey Sendai offers a central downtown location fewer than five minutes on foot from the train station (west exit). The property features sharp retro-looking European stylings throughout. They are a welcome relief from the spare modern furnishings which one typically encounters in urban cookie-cutter hotels across Japan. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and plenty... More

One of the most spacious hotel in Japan I've stayed in. Close to Sendai Station and going around Sendai city on foot is very easy from the hotel. However, no English TV channel in room and this is one thing they have to improve to cater international customers/tourists.¥650 train fare from Sendai Airport to Sendai Station which takes about 30... Good location - just a few minutes walk from Sendai Shinkansen station. Close to many restaurants where you can try the local delicacy of Beef Tongue. Back to the hotel...... Rooms are quite small, but are clean and have a very nice ambiance. Couldn't get my TV to work, but it was no big deal. Internet was free but not... More

It was my first trip to Sendai City, and getting off the train station at 9pm, i have to search for this hotel. What a great location, as Hotel Monterey is just a 3minutes walk from the Sendai Station. My room was on level 15, 28 was the number. The room was great in terms of facilities and services. I...
