The hotel, located close to the JR Sendai station and bus terminals, is a good starting point for visiting Sendai and its neighbourhood, Matsushima for example. I personally visited Matsushima, Hiraizumi, Yamadera in addition to Sendai spots. Clearly the hotel is not first class one. You do not expect more as the room rates are reasonable. The double bed room... More

The good: 1. 4 minutes walking from the station. In case it rains you can get to the hotel without getting wet. 2. The bathroom is great. New appliances and several amenities. However, they don't have cotton pads and face lotion for ladies. 3.The decor is done with taste. 4. they have a press machine for your suit. The not... More

This is a standard business hotel with no pretense. It is very conveniently located near the station and connected with a walkways. The rooms are standard for this type of hotel and are quiet. Good staff and overall comfortable for one night.

Very clean and good sized room. Very welcoming staff. Located in the centre of the city, very close to the main station and a loads of restaurants around. It was raining when I arrived, however, I could reach very close to the hotel entrance without having rain as if it is within the station building.

A typical Japanese business hotel, connected to the station by overhead walkways. Very clean, excellent service from the staff, very convenient to the shopping and restaurant/bar areas west of the station. Rooms are of the usual size at this pricepoint. East facing rooms have an excellent view of the station approaches and the train movements. Double glazing ensures that noise... More

We stayed here while on a tour of Japan. The hotel was very satisfactory. The room was large by Japanese standards and included a built-in desk plus a small table and chair. There was a small refrigerator. It had twin beds, as requested, and was very clean. The beds were quite comfortable. There was both a LAN connection and wifi... More

The hotel is an easy walk from the Sendai train station. Tip to travelers: Use the walkway above the street, it's easier to travel, not as crowded and no signals. Plus it ends near the hotel. The staff was quite friendly. If you want, you can leave your bags with the front desk before you check in and go explore... More

Not more than 10 minutes on foot from Sendai Railway Station. Convenient stores like 'Family Mart', 'Lawson' are available nearby the hotel. Standard rooms are small. Rooms are clean and convenient. Staffs are cooperative. They lend us umbrella to go out in rainy day. Various items are available for breakfast which include Japanese menu and bread, butter, jelly etc. Free... More

We stayed at this hotel in September 2011 for 3 nights. The hotel staff was polite and helpful, especially because we had to forward our baggage directly to Kyoto. There is a overhead passage from the rail station to the the hotel block which avoids all the traffic on the ground. Near the hotel there is a staircase and a... More

Hotel JAL City Sendai was the hotel included in tour package I purchased. The purpose of the trip to this city was to assist in volunteer relief work for the Japanese people affected by the March 3, 2011 earthquake/tsunami. JAL City Sendai is a 3-4 minute walk to JR Sendai Station. Although it is near the station and a very... More
