The Metropolitan in Morioka is ideal for the business traveller: only minutes away from the Shinkanzen, with plenty of good (and very good) restaurants in the immediate vicinity, with all the amenities that one needs for a night's stop-over, it's the ideal traveller's hotel. The location again is the best right next to station and the shopping is easy. The markets are also very close by so a very convenient location. We stopped here on the way north. I had booked it over the Internet. The only minor dificulty I had was finding it. The "oold" wing is located right next to the train station (there are even signs that direct you there). So I asked at the desk and found the new wing just a block and a half away.... More
