This hotel has relatively nice Japanese rooms and is in a central location. While being reasonably priced and therefore lacking the bells and whistles of a more elaborate hotel, the establishment offers a reasonable way to enjoy Japanese rather than Western accommodation. It is clean, there is a convenience store around the corner, and it is beside Lion Dori, where... More

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights, and used it as the base camp to visit Setouchi Triennale 2013. The hotel is located halfway between the rail station/port and Takamatsu's downtown area. The good news is that most locations in the city are located within walking distance. The bad news is that you need at least 10 minutes walk... More

We stayed in jp room which was huge and there were two extra mats in the cupboard so used them for extra comfort. Loved the pillows supplied as every other tatami style hotel room had only the rice husk ones which we find too hard. Great idea you can choose extra or alternative pillows from lobby area - fantastic!

Centrally located in the Kawaramachi area, this hotel was selected for us by a friend who lives in Takamatsu. He noted that this used to be one of the top hotels in town, but it clearly needs some renovations to its furnishings for it to regain its stature. The rooms are Japanese style (tatami mat floor, futon mat, etc.), with... More

We stayed here for 2 separate nights, on our first and last nights on Shikoku island. We booked directly with the hotel by email. However, a warning here - very few staff read English although most reception staff seemed to speak enough for hotel related needs. If you email the hotel ([--]) put 'Junko Morinishi' as the title of your... More

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a very good hotel in an excellent part of town. We stayed in the Japanese style room which is large, has a soaking tub, hair dryer, good air conditioner, etc. The hotel has a very nice spa and massage area. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get.

This is a recently renovated hotel in Takamatsu, a lovely city on Shikoku island, Japan. We stayed in a Japanese style room (futons and tatami mats). The bedroom was huge, there was a seperate little sitting room with table and chairs, there was a large bathroom (for japan), plus fridge and sink in the room's lobby area. Although this was... More
