The JR Hotel was nice, clean and friendly. Nice lobby. Staff was friendly. NO GYM!!!! Rooms were small but clean. Furniture was older and beds were average. Great location across from ferry. Nice view of town and harbor Ask for higher rooms for view. Lots of shops and restaraunts within walking distance.

The location of this hotel is excellent as it's right besides the main station. I wouldn't say 'in the middle of things' as there's not much to do in Tokushima. The rooms are adequate, no more no less. Walls are painted fresh and there's new carpet. Furniture and bathroom are clean but old. Beds are just a tiny bit too... More

This hotel is a very short walk from the station and is position near a supermarket and typical station style restaurants. The upper floors offer an excellent view of the inland sea and it's worth the additional few dollars. The island doesn't offer a great deal of interesting sites however the Jr train ride across the famous bridge to the... More

Our room layout is nice, with the beds facing to the window overlooking the "seaview". Lovely view in the morning when sun arise. Worth the money to choose this "seaview" room type. The Hotel is nicely situated, walking distance to JR station; ferry pier (to nearby island) and a garden with Takamatsu castle. Lots of signs are around to direct... More

We went to Takamatsu to again visit Naoshima Island’s art museums and art house projects. We selected the hotel for its location near the ferry terminal. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our recent long trip through Japan. The location, room and staff made it a wonderful stay. We had a high floor “standard twin room” that... More

For travel in and out of Takamatsu, by train or ferry, there is no better location. The hotel is large and well-appointed with good-sized rooms (and large baths!)...ours had a great view of the harbor and the adjacent park. The local street car runs nearby and will take you to the unrivaled Ritsurin Garden. We saw this garden in the... More

I booked my two-night stay directly with the hotel via email eight months prior and communications in English were prompt, courteous and helpful. The room was a good size for one person and had a fabulous view of the Seto Inland Sea and ferry/boat terminals from three windows (including the bathroom). I enjoyed sitting by one of the bedroom windows... More

I recently stayed at the JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu for 2 nights and did a little video review of the hotel grounds and the inside of a "Hollywood Suite". If you'd like to see what the hotel and the Hollywood Suite look like, then check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYfF9tXwt0o This hotel is located adjacent to the JR Takamatsu Station.... This hotel is located about 100 metres from Takamatsu JR station which was great for us as we were travelling round Japan by rail. It was also close to the local Kotoden railway station and the ferry terminal so handy for trips out of the city. We had a large, comfortable, well appointed room on the 18 floor so we... More

Takashima is about four hours by road from Kansai airport Osaka and it's easy to get a coach, even if you have little or no command of the Japanese language. We stayed at The Clement Hotel in the city center, next to the bus and train station and overlooking the harbor. A lovely hotel with polite and friendly staff (as... More
