The hotel is in a great central location near Takamatsu's extensive shopping arcade streets and its lively restaurant district. Clean, well run, good contemporary design. Smallish but well appointed rooms, including small refrigerator. Has men's and women's baths, laundry facilities, very good Japanese breakfast buffet. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Limited English spoken, but they make a great effort... More

I realized that the Dormy Inn is not an elegant luxury hotel but it has many features that made it a terrific place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have free ramen snack in the lobby after nine. Although the bathroom in the room is small there is a delightful onsen on the roof which can get... More

The Dormy Inn gives excellent value for the price. Quite close to JR station 700¥ taxi ride, many busses, close to Ritsurin gardens, restaurants and shops. Free onsen, coffee on tap, noodles at night and wifi in room. Pleasant staff. Room on small side but ok and clean. Breakfast at 600¥ quite adequate Jaanese and Continental.

For its bargain price, this is a great place to stay. One highlight for me was the exceptional service I received in English from Miyagawa-san; he spoke good English and was incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations and other queries I had. The hotel's onsen is solid. The free ramen cooked in the kitchen next to the hotel lounge after 9pm... More

This was a great find in Takamatsu. Spent 5 days touring the islands and enjoying the Setouchi Triennale (catch it if you can!). Small but well- appointed rooms. Shower and toilet in room, in addition to communal baths on the roof. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Good location in the center of town. We are used to foreign travel and picking... More

We had one night at the Dormy Inn and were very happy with it. We would have liked to stay another night but they were fully booked so, unfortunately, we had to move the next day. The hotel is in a great position near the Takamatsu shotengai (shopping street) and the entertainment/food street. The check in was prompt and friendly.... More

I just reviewed another Dormy Inn (Asakusa). As I wrote in that review, I have a soft spot for the Dormy Inn hotel chain (beginning with its name!). I have now stayed in three different Dormy Inn hotels, and although there are small variations, the basic facilities are the same: small but extra-clean and well-equipped room, and an onsen on... Guests' needs thoughtfully anticipated, and some services (like DIY laundry) even provided free. Great insider tips from very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Incredible value. Many thanks.

Great Staff - most had at least basic english skills and a few were quite advanced. They were all cordial and tried very hard to find information when we asked. The room was small, even by Japanese standards, but it was very clean, modern and well designed. The onsen (thermal bath facility and sauna) was very nice and, like everything... More

Besides wifi as mentioned above, everything else is simply perfect! Since we stayed 5 days in Takamatsu, the location of the hotel was important. Nothing short of doing and seeing around the hotel. We had a ball. Thank you!
