Its a classy boutique hotel sited very near the Dogo Onsen and shopping arcade. Parking is ample and had no problems getting a space whenever I got back to the hotel. Roads are a little tight though but nothing unmanageable. Our family room sleeps 4 comfortably. 2 western style beds (really comfortable) and 2 japanese style-futons. Room not big but... More

This hotel has no windows. Other than small ventilation windows at the high end of the walls in the bathroom and toilet, there is nothing else. Despite that it manages to be very cosy and homely. From keeping your shoes at the lockers the moment you stepped out of your floor lift lobby, to the small but somewhat calming tradition... More

The hotel has an interesting name, Dogo Yaya. Ya in Japanese means house or room. It is a hotel full of surprise. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Dogo onsen honkan (main house, a public bath). The hotel has its own parking space. I dropped my luggage with the hotel and went out at 2:00pm. Rooms not... More

Dogo Yaya is in a good location very close to Dogo onsen & the covered shopping streets. If you want to bathe the more local bathhouse is just a few minutes from the hotel, we didn´t try it but i hear it has the same quality of water as famous Dogo bathhouse. Hotel is very nice boutique hotel, the semi-double/single... More

When I did my research on this site for this hotel, I was surprised that this business hotel could beat other classic ryokans and topped the list of hotels / ryokans in Matsuyama. Hence I decided to check it out myself. Believe this is the only business hotel within the Dogo Onsen area where everything is within walking distance. Hotel... More

I like this modern Japanese hotel because of its design, bed, rain shower, attentive services, branded amenities, breakfast (especially the DIY OJ machine) etc. If you are not looking for a traditional hotel with Onsen and can deal with staff who may not fully speak and understand English, try this and you won't be disappointed.

Unless, you really want to have a hotel with an on-site onsen, this is a great choice for accommodations in Matsuyama. If you plan to go to the big onsen, "Dogo Onsen Honkan", it is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Since English is nearly non-existent at this hotel, you may have trouble making a reservation directly, but... More

We enjoyed this hotel very much. As you will notice from the lack of English language reviews, there are very few foreigners that stay at the hotel. The staff does not speak very much English. They did their best and we did our best at speaking Japanese and everything was fine. They offer several packages. We went with a simple... More
