I stayed for about a week while attending a conference at the ANA resort, the hotel itself is at a good location close to the city center but the room was incredibly small with a very low sealing so much so that it felt claustrophobic. The breakfast area was very crowded early mornings. On the other hand the hotel is... More

We stayed there due to typhoon alert on our island. Hence it was not planned and we were lucky to find a room. What we managed to get was a small double room where it was hard for two people to move around. Bed was fine, AC in room and the room was clean. Location is good too - enough... More

As with all japanese hotels, this room was cozy and packed. There was no dresser or chairs in it. However, the location was right next to the pier where you can get ferries to neighbouring islands for a day trip. The check-in time was pretty late at 1500. The staff was not very friendly or flexible with our arrival time... More

This hotel does not have a restaurant - just B & B. That said, it provides a good base being near the ferry terminal, shops and restaurants. Three of us stayed here for a week quite happily. Our room was clean but a bit small and we partly needed to live out of suitcases as there was some hanging space... More

A ten-minute walk from the bus or ferry terminal. A slightly older building, but with charm (although slightly taciturn staff). Reasonable rates, plenty of paring nearby. The room was airy and comfortable - in fact, we wanted a no-smoking room. As the hotel only offers this in barrier-free rooms, we had a room with facilities for the disabled. (Watch out,... More

The Hyper Hotel is a reasonable taxi ride from Ishigaki Airport (less than 1,000 yen), and there is also a direct airport bus running on the main street near the hotel. The hotel overlooks the ferry port for trips out to Taketomi and other islands, and car rentals are available on-site. So five-stars in terms of transportation. The rest of... More

The hotel is close to the ferry terminal (although not that close as I thought, it's a 7 min walk). It seems to be primarly a reasonably priced busines hotel. Our room was tiny, even for Japanese standards. After opening both suitcases there was no place left on the floor! The room smelled of cigarettes even though it was supposed... More
