This is a great accommodation - away from the hustle and bustle of the town and resorts. So quiet and peaceful and close to the beach! Our kids loved exploring the calm, shallow waters of Nosoko beach protected by the coral break some distance out from the shore, stopping to jump off with their snorkels to watch the colourful fish.... Beach Villeage was a great spot just to declamp on our trip across the Ryukus. Planned as a short stop, actual it's all said about this lodging as we've doubled our stay after checking alternatives: Nosoko was the tranquilest place we've found, and a good base one on the greener side on an Island where concrete still dominates even far... We recently stayed at the beach village for our honeymoon, in early June. In terms of location, it would be hard to beat. The island itself is beautiful, with plenty to do and is unspoilt and quiet. The seas provide snorkelling and diving unrivalled anywhere else. The villa itself is situated about 2 minutes walk from a lovely, peaceful beach.... More

Beach Village Nosoko is about as far away as you can get on Ishigaki from the downtown city area, the over-sold resort hotels, and touristy shopping areas. Some might complain about the scarcity of conveniences nearby (no supermarket, no convenience store, few restaurants), but that's part of the location's charm. The cottages (there are four, grouped in pairs) are spacious... More

Great little cottage with all you need for a relaxing stay. We stayed 3 nights and rented their car too. They picked us up at the airport and dropped us off - really convenient. Well equipped little kitchen to cook a basic meal if you pick up your groceries downtown. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Beach Village Nosoko (BVN) for 1 week in October 2010. I had done a lot of online research on Ishigaki, and only found big hotels listed which didn't look appealing and the pricing was closer to US$200+ a night. I chanced upon some listings on rakuten and noticed that this one had 5 stars from every visitor.... More
