We stayed only one night to do some onsen and check out Beppu. We got a large room with a private bathroom. But no provided towels! The onsen at the hotel was great. We booked a private one for our family and had a great time. There wasn't dinner or breakfast included in our booking. When we asked to have... More

We stayed in one of the traditional rooms, and although the booking said shared toilet, the room was ensuite (pleasant surprise). The staff are nice and the one private onsen that we used was good and very clean. The room was fine. My only complaint is that the windows do not block out the sound of slightly undesirable women outside... More

The staff are enthusiastic and helpful, the location is great, and the value can't be beat. The private baths were just delightful. If you stay in Beppu, do yourself a solid and stay at Nogamihonkan Ryokan!

I stayed here 3 nights in October. My room was modern style, very nice and handy. There is old and modern style rooms. Breakfast was very nice and service was good. The ryokan's have 5 different onsen's and famous sand bath is only couple minutes away. Situation is also very good. Only "bad" thing is that there is only one... More

We stayed 2 night in Sepember. The service was friendly and warm. The room was very big - we actually got 4-persons room for a couple. The onsen was clean and nice. 8 minutes walk from the bus station.

Stayed here for 2 nights in November last year. Chose this place as it has several in-house onsen and is near JR Beppu station. It is quite near to the station and you can reach this place within a short 5-minute walk. There are 3 private onsens and 1 public one (separated by male and female). I went to the... More

The location of the hotel isn't far at all from the non stop bus station I took from Fukuoka (as I landed in Fukuoka). It is actually only a walking distance! When I got to the hotel, the service was very nice, very friendly and helpful people. We stayed around 4 nights and made full use of the private hot... More

Stayed here late in April for one night. The room was traditional and clean. Unfortunately it smelled strongly of cigarette smell. It is located down an alley near the sea and a 10 min walk to the station. Staff spoke little English but were able to recommend a great restaurant and happily looked after our gear for a few hours... More

Good location between Beppu train station and the sea, but the marker in google maps was wrong (might be fixed now). Traditional Ryokan probably built some decades ago. There is Wifi in the lobby and rooms. Staff speaks only little English. There are three private and one public onsen. Don't miss them. Exciting Japanese breakfast (but western style is available,...
