Stayed here a few times now and the hotel is perfectly fine, especially considering price. Friendly, English speaking staff, clean rooms, great central location giving plenty of choice in restaurants, bars, & shopping street just round the corner. No complaints at all given expectations and that Sasebo is a fairly small place anyway.

This hotel is dirty and nasty! The carpet looks like it has not been cleaned in 10 years. The rooms are filled with dust, mildew, and mold! If you have allergies don't stay here. There is a front desk staff person who has no clue on how to talk to a guest, very nasty disposition.

Great location , good restaurant, very clean and comfortable rooms, even has heated toilet seats . Staff is super courteous and bilingual. Right in the center of Sasebo , close to US naval base , plenty of good restaurants , bars and pubs. Two blocks from San Kacho shopping center , a mile long street with stores and restaurants of... An excellent, basic hotel. Plus' include: central location to shopping, restaurants, and Base if you are going there; parking (fills up in evening but alternate parking available); clean and neat; very helpful staff who speak English and genuinely help with whatever you need...this ain't Tokyo and you will rarely hear the ubiquitous "もしわけございません客さま、出来ない". They work to accommodate; many extras not... More

Chisun Grand in Sasebo is just about as close as you can get to "western standard" and still know you are in a Japanese hotel. Good size rooms, clean, comfortable. Bed was a little on the hard size, not unusual for a Japanese hotel, and it had the standard pillows with the buckwheat on one side. Very nice breakfast buffet... More

I love staying at this hotel. I have stayed there several times and everytime I have had a good experience. The staff goes out of their way to ensure that you have the best stay as possible. There is a restaurant downstairs that has an ample buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is very convenient. I usually stay in one... More

As a business traveler this hotel is your average hotel with clean rooms. Hotel staff are very nice and caring and speak English. Parking on site is with an elevated parking garage with an attendant. (The cars are stacked in one at a time through an elevator. 1000 Yen daily.) This is one of the few hotels in the world... More

This hotel is conveniently located. Close to the Naval Base, Nimitz Park and the Ginza. The hotel restaurant is very reasonable. Unfortunate that it is a buffet with the names of the foods in Japanese. Sheets on bed are very good. The carpet in the room is dirty. the hotel staff is very helpful. The parking is quite an experience.

Stayed for one night, hotel will be fine for short stays. Rooms are a little tired, basis but comfortable. Shower did not work properly, mixer unit was faulty so only options was to get a hot or very hot shower. No view form the room but hotel is situated in a decent part of the city. Breakfast was adequate but... More

We booked directly with the hotel's website and stayed 2 nights (executive double non-smoking room) - we had no complaints what-so-ever. We parked at Nimitz Park across the river and walked to the numerous dining options nearby. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant.
