This Dormy Inn is right next to the Kotsu Bus Terminal. It is about 660 yen from Kumamoto Station by taxi. To the popular Shimotori arcade, and the numerous restaurants and izakaya (pubs), it is relatively close to entertainment and food. There is a convenient underground shopping area right across the street. Kenmin department store is a good place to... More

The room was small but the layout was well thought out. Every inch was utilized. The Inn was very clean and very quiet. The breakfast was outstanding. Hotel employees were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the amenities and free WiFi.

Dormy Inn has exceeded my expectation - free supper, coffee and tea, hot spring all included as part of the accommodation fee. Service level was very good as always coming from Japan. Walking distance to the castle and shopping area. Highly recommended for those who intends to stops by Kumamoto!

It was at a convenient spot in town requiring only a 10 minute walk to the busiest street. The rooms were overall tidy and clean. Like all japanese hotel rooms it's a little on the small size but with just a one night stay, it didn't matter too much. This isn't the first Dormy Inn we stayed at and so... More

I visited Dormy Inn at the end of May. The staffs are very nice and polite. The room was small but cozy which under my expectation. I was surprised that the room privided the cloth frangrance in the closet and humidifier. It makes me feel Dormy Inn is thoughful that the frangrance gets rid the bad smell from my jacket after... Visited here in the Summer with my partner, I think it's more of a business hotel but as it was our first time in Japan we weren't very well up on the hotels. The staff were very friendly and polite, hardworking and enthusiastic. The room was quite small compared to in the UK but it was ok for just sleeping... More

First time stayed in Dormy Inn. Room is a bit small but good enough for a couple. First time to Kumamoto so a bit worry when stepped out from JR station. It's easier to take the tram as the main tram stop located 10 steps in front of the station. There is only one exit, don't worry. Took the Tram... More

Having stayed in many Dormy Inn hotels, the room here is comparatively smaller. Otherwise, everything else is pretty standard, i.e. great location, onsen, free beverage at all times, and free ramen in the evenings. Will not hesitate to stay in a Dormy Inn hotel when the need arises

This was the 4th Dormy Inn hotel in our Kyushu travel, others being Dormy Inn Premium and Dormy Inn Gion in Fukuoka plus Dormy Inn Nagasaki. Stayed in only 3rd floor and traffic lights noise could be heard from the room. Always got good onsen and free ramen for Dormy Inn chain. The room is slightly bigger than Gion and Nagasaki.... More

Stayed there a couple of nights a week ago. Hotel was ok, except that the rooms were small. Apparently the hotel refers to this as a twin room; a double room is larger but of course more expensive too. It had a nice onsen, and my wife appreciated the fact that the ladies' bath is secured by a PIN number... More
