This was the 4th Dormy Inn hotel in our Kyushu travel, others being Dormy Inn Premium and Dormy Inn Gion in Fukuoka plus Dormy Inn Nagasaki. Stayed in only 3rd floor and traffic lights noise could be heard from the room. Always got good onsen and free ramen for Dormy Inn chain. The room is slightly bigger than Gion and Nagasaki.... More

Stayed there a couple of nights a week ago. Hotel was ok, except that the rooms were small. Apparently the hotel refers to this as a twin room; a double room is larger but of course more expensive too. It had a nice onsen, and my wife appreciated the fact that the ladies' bath is secured by a PIN number... More

We're big fans of the Dormy chain. Like most of their other locations, the rooms are a bit on the cozy side but they offer great hot baths, are centrally located near food and entertainment areas and are good value. The breakfast buffet was good too, with a variety of Japanese and western dishes and lots offresh coffee and juice.... More

I like the breakfast with a good mixture of Japanese and Western food. Other hotels we stayed do not have a good balance. Also offer free noodles from 9 to 11pm. The room is clean, but do not offer a good view. The white light is a problem for us. We have a family size room with 2 beds and... More

A hotel locate in japan with no Japanese passion and radical customer service. Rude and non smiling receptionist to start off at the check in,. Wifi only in lobby while in advertising, wifi in all area. Definitely a big lie to customer . We could not find the clean card in room and ask for another one, . The staff... More

The location is good, 15 min walking from the castle entrance. But it is rather impersonal, the rooms were ok but not great, and not very sound-proof. No wifi available in the rooms (it is available in the hotel lobby though). No coffee provided either. I've stayed in other Dormy Inn hotels which were better for the price they cost.

I've been to Kumamoto several times as my mom was from there. We always stayed at Nikko Kumamoto the past few times we went. Nikko Hotel is in a very convenient location and that would be one of the only reasons why I would stay there over Dormy Inn. Nikko is across the street from Tsuruya Department Store whereas Dormy... We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was amazing. The location is extremely convenient for exploring Kumamoto city and Mount Aso. There are numerous food and shopping options around the hotel and even just next to the hotel. We especially love the onsen, free for access to all hotel guests. It had a few baths, and even... More

Located in the center of Kumamoto city, just behind the "Traffic Center or Kotsu Center", very convenient so that you can walk to the Castle, downtown or conference center in just a few minutes. The staffs are very friendly and the room is very clean with a high quality queen size bed which guarantees you a nice sleep. The breakfast... More
