This hotel seems pleasant enough although it is not close to anything. My single room did NOT face the ocean and was very small by American standards. Try to get one of the double rooms (all of these have balconies) on the ocean/volcano side of the hotel. The view is great. Both the Japanese and Western/Asian fusion restaurants are nice.... more

This was a nice-enough hotel but is very tricky to get to unless you take a taxi (can be expensive). By bus it took us around an hour to get to the hotel from the train station then an hour to get to the ferry terminal for Sakuajima. Not a convenient location, unless you have a rental car. Booked this hotel through Asiarooms and got a really good price, the room was lovely and had amazing views over sakurajima volcano. We sat with drinks looking out from the balcony for hours, the hotel is right on the waterfront. The only drawback is that the hotel is quite a way from the central area of the town, a taxi... more
