Excellent location very close to the station. Stayed a couple of nights to visit Sakurajima. Typical Toyoko inn - safe, clean, small rooms and cheap. The Japanese breakfast was really good here and as usual you can eat as much as you want. Highly recommend.

We stopped at this Inn for four nights while doing the tourist thing around Satsuma. For Western travellers the rooms are a little on the small side (basically, its a 'salary man's' hotel for 1-2 nights) so the storage space is very limited but it is clean and comfortable. Japanese style breakfast is good if a little crowded in the... More

Toyoko inn always looks the same across Japan. They have standard decoration, furniture and service. And their locations are always good. This toyoko inn is just 100 to 200 meters from Kagoshima Station. It's very easy to find and close to the station. Easy for us to catch trains and buses. The room is small but with every necessary facilities.... More

Toyoko Inn Kagoshima Chuo-eki Nishi-guchi is the closest out of the three Toyoko Inns in Kagoshima to the Shinkansen station. we have stayed here a few times, planning to stay here again when we return this coming October. Very conveniently located, just minutes walk from the Shinkansen and local train stations. The standard is without fail TOYOKO INN'S: Efficient ,... More

We stayed 3 nights here. Initially we booked 2 economy double for the 4 of us. On arrival we requested to change our rooms to 2 twin as we were worried that the beds may be a bit too small for us. After much negotiation, hotel was willing to oblige although initially they were reluctant to do so as we... More

We have recently stayed for 6 nights at Kagoshima Chuo-eki Nishi-guchi and found it lived up to the normal high Toyoko Inn standards, with one small annoyance. Firstly the hotel is situated about 1 - 2 minutes walk from the west exit of the Kagoshima Chuo station. Many eateries abound in the station and surrounding areas so getting good reasonably... More

I stay very often at Toyoko Inn. What I like is the cleanliness, the furniture (free tea, internet, TV, aircon) in the room. There is also a free breakfast and this one was very good, with some different breads, soup and salad. Our twin room was quite big as well. The only point for me, is that we are above... More

The staff at this Toyoko Inn went out of their way to help me as an Australian Foreigner. The rooms are comfortable and Kagosima Chuo Station is very close as is AMU plaza. Breakfast can be a little daunting as you are a minority if your not Asian, however the kitchen staff treat you so well. I felt like I... More

Our third Toyoko Inn stay of the trip, and we were very familiar with the set-up by this stage. Brilliantly located only a minute or so from the West gate of Kagoshima station, this hotel was ridiculously good value (around AU$70 per night). All the usual Toyoko Inn trappings were present, plus the optional ‘eco’ discount for staying consecutive nights... More

If like us you are just looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep then this certainly fits the bill. Part of a chain. All rooms seem small by western standards with little storage, but provided your luggage fits under the bed all should be well. There are at least two Toyoko Inns close to the station. For this one... More
