I am a frequent traveller to Japan, twice every year but was extremely disappointed by this hotel. The hotel is dirty, and I spotted bugs on the bathroom wall. Even after we requested to change to another room, the dirt and bugs still appeared and we just gave up as we only stayed 2 nights there. Worst still are: everything... More

Hotel is 2 minute walk to Hakata Station. Vast amount of shopping in Hakata Station and food choices, not to mention train and bus terminal adjacent to it. Room is small but perfect for layover for flight. Bus to airport is brief and low cost... or you can opt for train to airport. Staff outstanding and very clean hotel. Could... More

I stayed here in September and it is a nice hotel with a good location. It is close to public transportation. The room was very small but very clean. It is a more of a business hotel. The staff was helpful.

The size of the semi double room is only about 10 sq meter. You can't see anything through the window cause it was blocked by the building next to it. They only provide two types of breakfast (set); either Japanese or Western style. No free coffee provided, but you can buy your own coffee in the lobby with the coin... More

First of all this is not a boutique hotel. Having said that for a business hotel it does a nice flair , as the rooms are rather nicely decorated. As I already mentioned the bathroom is (for Japanese standards) rather big. No size issues for some bigger people. The location from the Shinkansen station is fantastic, just across the street,... Stayed here for 3 nights in July 2013, good location, easy to find and close to JR station. Room is small and no view. However, staffs are friendly. Only one negative comments.....staffs are not flexible to offer room change. As I forget to request non smoking room upon making the reservation, the staffs not allowed me to change room or... More

I stayed here 2 nights in a Single room. The main reasons I chose this hotel were its closeness to the JR railway station and value for money compared with other hotels in the area. I have also used the Sunroute chain in Tokyo a couple of times and am comfortable with the brand. A tip for finding the Hakata... More

My partner and I spent three nights at Hotel Sunroute, and we found it perfectly adequate. We had a "semi-double" room, which was basically a single room with one bed. As others have noted, the room is pretty small. But hey, this is Japan, it's par for the course. It had a fridge, a normal-sized bathroom, and a closet space,... More

We stayed for a night in between stops from Harata station, its just 2 mins walk from the main JR station, a definitely stay for those who have early trains in the morning, plus there are convenient stores located just right next door. Rooms are typically tiny in Japan so Sunroute is no exception. Considering the price and location, I... More
