We stayed at the Hakata Excel while on vacation in Japan. The hotel was very conveniently located with shops, restaurants and RR stations within walking distance. We walked across the canal which is right in front of the hotel to the Arcos Building, housing the local symphony orchestra, where there were several restaurants. We found an excellent Japanese restaurant there.... More

After reading the reviews I decided to stay at Excel and thought it was an overall really good hotel. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata station. I have to admit I was a bit lost when I first got here since I was expecting a big hotel with clear signs right outside of the subway, but... More

We stayed in this hotel for two days, January 2014, as part of a package deal through bookit.com. We were provided with an appartment, consisting of two rooms, a living room and a bedroom, and separate toilet and bathroom. The standard was good, very clean. The bathroom was very good, a nice warm shower, there was also a separate bath... More

We stayed in this hotel on 14/Nov/13. The room is big but the bath room need to be upgraded. This hotel is surrounded but lots of restaurants but due to we were not familiar with this area, so we were unable to find any goods food over there. We tried 3 different restaurants and they all turn out not nice!... More

LOCATION: Taxi from the airport cost JPY 2050 and took 15 minutes. Centrally located. Less than a ten-minute walk to the city centre. Gentlemen's clubs a few steps from the hotel. Could be noisy at night if the window is open. Otherwise the hotel has very good sound proof windows. HOTEL: Fast and no fuss but not especially friendly check... More

Nice, enough but as is many Japanese hotels of older design, room could be larger and bed was a little rigid for me. Dining was very good, location is central but I would stay at a more modern place that is just as accessible to the airport.

Stayed one night at this hotel. We had a triple room complete with sofa set. The room feels quite modern, clean and new. Hotel is centrally located near train station. plenty of F&B outlets nearby. Wished we stayed longer to enjoy the surroundings and explore Fukuoka more.

I stayed in a triple room of Hakata Excel Hotel Tokyu from 17 to 21 April. I would highly recommend it to those visiting Fukuoka for two reasons. First, it is located in Nakasu-Kawabata Station, which is only 3 stations away from the Fukuoka Airport along the Orange (K) Subway Line (taking no more than 15 minutes). If you are... More

Stayed here for four nights during a recent trip to Fukuoka. The single room was good. Quite quiet. The bed was comfortable,. The amenities were excellent as was the service. The location is quite good, as I could walk to most of the places that I needed to. The subway is half a block away, so getting to and from... More

Reception staff were very friendly though they were adamant I couldn't have an early check in. Rooms were functional but cozy. Lifts were really slow, pain when on 10th floor. Breakfast was fine but somewhat repetitive. Really frustrated that there was no hotel bar to meet up with fellow tourists. However we were in the middle of fantastic nightlife, great... More
