Second stay here in 2 years and always glad to be returning. Stayed for a longer duration which meant that the location was utilized to the max with the shopping at Canal City. If that wasn't enough, Hakata station and Tenjin are not far away. 4/5 because I had time, and wanted to take a dip in the pool but... More

I was really looking forward to staying at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka but it may purely have been due to the name. It is less a 'Grand Hyatt' and more a 'Hyatt' or one of their low-cost properties. Rooms are tiny and pokey with mini-sized furniture - which is perfect for children but not for a business man or woman.... More

The staff are generally very efficient except for one encounter with a concierge lady who could have provided me with more accurate information on certain bus routing. Otherwise a very good stay. Location is very good. Within Canal City shopping mall where there are good eateries.

The Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, located in Canal City, is part of an enormous shopping complex in the city of Fukuoka. With a lovely lounge and view of the ever-changing fountain, it is a fun place to stay for families and couples alike. For shoppers like me, this is the best place to stay in Fukuoka, and it is conveniently located... More

I have stayed here many times and it is still one of my favorites. It is located in Canal City which as many restaurants and shops. The rooms are somewhat dated, but very clean and comfortable. The gym has enough equipment for a good workout, and the indoor swimming pool is very nice. The bar area has live entertainment and... More

If it were not for the club lounge I would probably not recommend the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka although I think the city lacks much choice at the luxury end. The main issue with the hotel is that it is in dire need of refurbishment. The room was cramped and the furniture frayed and threadbare. The TV was very high up... More

Stayed here once before; was greeted warmly upon check-in and found cookies and a "welcome back" note in my room . Nice touch. Was VERY impressed when I was told at check-in that my corporate travel department booked me at a rate that was higher than necessary and that they were cutting my rate by ~$15 / night. When has... The hotel is in a really convenient location and the rooms are nice, especially the bathrooms. There's a nice big tub and a huge glass shower. Other than that, it's nothing special. Our room overlooked Canal City shopping center, it was super noisy and they start blasting music pretty early. I'd recommend asking for a view of the river. Also... More

The location, interior, hygene was excellent. The service, on the other hand, was below my what one may expect from an internationally reknown top-class hotel. I asked for a sanitary item which took nearly 10 minutes to reach my room which was inconvenient as I had to leave on time for a business meeting. Aside from the service, overall experience... More

The location 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to Tenjin, the main shopping area, 10 minutes to Hakata station and next door to Canal City shopping puts the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka at an advantage to many other hotels. In addition, you are welcomed very warmly from the moment you arrived. Staff were always polite and helpful. We never had... More
