Premium business hotels should be able to offer non-smokey rooms for non-smokers, esp when this is made clear at reservation. Too tired to make a fuss, but not happy at all. This is Japan, and the rates are not cheap. I just came from 3 nights in Sheraton Hiroshima -- and I never had a problem with the rooms for... More

The concierge had helped with making a reservation at a Michelin-starred restaurant before our arrival. The concierge was very prompt and responsive, and was most helpful! We had stayed in another reputable hotel in the Tenjin part of town, which was fairly decent, but the level of posh-ness, comfort, facilities and service at the Grand Hyatt was at another level... The hotel is conveniently located right beside of the shopping mall Canal City. You can walk to the hotel from Hakata station; it'll only take about 10 to 15 minutes top. or you can take a cab from Fukuoka International Airport and it'll also take about 10 to 15 minutes. My family stayed in one of the junior suite, thanks... More

The moment you arrive you are made welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and worth the few extra dollars. The location is ideal - central to shopping centre and train station. Big choice of restaurants. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need except for an iron but this is provided on request.

We stayed there for two nights. The room was so worn out, and there were either dust mites or fleas in their bed that bite our legs. Their continental breakfast sucks. They serve the worst croissant in the country. Having said that, their staffs were very friendly and helpful.

I arrived at the hotel at the stated check in time of 2pm to be told that no suitable room was ready. What was offered was a room with twin beds instead of a king, which I reluctantly accepted as I had meetings to attend almost immediately afterwards. Took the elevator to the 9th floor which turned out be very... More

Great location next to the mall. Directly across from Nakasu which is a nice place to walk around in the evening. Nakasu has plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. It's also the red light district but you will not be bothered. The hotel itself is connected to a large shopping mall, six or seven floors. Customer service is great. Only... More

This hotel was disappointment from beginning to end. If you are used to Club Level, save your money. It was definitely not worth it. The food and service were a total let down. The rooms need some TLC as the carpet had stains, the room was musty and smelled like mold. The shower area had water stains throughout the granite... More

I booked two rooms at this hotel. Grand Club Twin and King room. The twin was large but bathroom had visible blackish mold underneath the sink. I requested non smoking but the room smelled of old cigarettes. Could not get rid of the smell. I had to buy my own fair freshner but it stilled smelled.
