I stayed in various hotels during my kyushuu trip and this was the worst hotel. For the following reasons, 1. Service is bad - according to hotel explanation there are English speaking staff at the front desk. However they communicated wrongly to us in English about the parking that from 11pm to 7am we are not allowed to take the... More

This hotel is the city hotel that not far from hakata station (only 10 minutes walking). I took the taxi from the airport to this hotel and pay 3300 JPY for it (4 persons per car). The opposite side of hotel, around 100 meters, there is the 7-11 and walk 200 meters more you will meet the drug store (which... More

We have stayed the hotel for 2 nights during our honeymoon trip. Room is decent with wooden floor and larger washroom compared with typical hotel. The place is clean and tidy. It is located next to Crown hotel with around 8 mins walk from Hakata station. A fast food shop operating 24 hrs is located opposite to the hotel. The... More

It was about 10-walk from Hakata station. We stayed here for a night, headed to Sasebo and Nagasaki etc then returned on the last day of our Kyushu trip. The first night we got a room on 3/F and the room had that cigarette smell, which is quite common in Japanese business hotels in our experience. Then the next time... More

The hotel is about 8-10 minutes walk to Hakata JR Station. The room is spacious when take into consideriation that is a Japanese business hotel and the rate is only ¥7800. Room is clean and the bed is comfortable enough. The only shortfall is its air conditioning. It just too weak....

We visited Fukuoka from 1 to 4 May 2014 and it was Japan's Golden Week. It was very difficult to get a room for a three-night stay and we could only be able to book a room in this hotel three days before our trip started. It took about 10 mins to walk from the Hakata station to the hotel.... More

As other reviewers have said, the hotel is very close to Hakata Station and within easy walking distance. I was very impressed by the standard of the hotel which is much higher than others in the same price range. By Japanese standards, the room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom in particular was big with a full size bath.... More

Sutton Hotel Hakata City is a good 8-minute walk from Hakata train station (which is very close to the Fukuoka airport). The rooms are very simple, yet subtly stylish in design, with parquet flooring (with this kind of flooring, the place has to be very clean and well maintained otherwise the parquet will rot or stain from wear and tear).... I booked their " run of the house " plan , which means that if you book a few weeks in advance ( they offer you a room of at least 15 square meters in size for only 4700 yen , or $ 47 ) . Only drawback is you can't choose a smoking or non-smoking room . No frills... More

Excellent location about 6 min walk from d Hakata Station. A good base to visit the 3 main shopping districts of Fukuoka. Room size comfortable for a couple, clean and came with a well- equipped bathroom. It was value for money for the price we paid.
