Best hotel to stay in in case you are going to catch early train rides as it is a few minutes from Hakata station. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was quite small however is complete with amenities, and is immaculately well-maintained. Wifi is stable and strong. There are several restaurants, bars and 24-hour convenience stores within reach.

There is nothing remarkable about the hotel. It is common in it's furnishings, small size, cleanliness and price. It is, however, super conveniently located in the city. You can walk to a number of bars and clubs or the ocean front part of the city. What little I remember of the stay was pleasant and there is everything you need... More

The hotel is in a very favourable location with just few minutes walk to the Hakata Main Station where we can find department stores, lots of varieties of shops and restaurants. Room is quite small and is a little worn out. Free Wifi in room. The staff are quite friendly with just enough English. It is a fine hotel to stay... More

The Richmond Hotel near Hakata station in Fukuoka is a great bargain for it's convenience and cozy atmosphere. Nestled in right next to the massive Yodabashi camera store (making it easy to tell taxi drivers where to drop you off) and only a 5-minute walk to station, this hotel offers great comfort at an affordable price. I stayed in a... More

I requested a higher floor room because I needed a quiet room. Although the hotel provided the highest floor, the room was facing the next building's walls. Views were completely blocked. Although there were walls, in some how, external noise level was bad. I suppose that the window does not block the external noise properly. One lady front staff was... More

Stayed here in October 2012. Hotel was located on a quiet street close to Hakata station. Not the most exciting part of town, but felt very safe. The hotel had free wifi that worked well. Rooms were small, but clean, modern, and well-lit. Our room had a fridge. Staff was very polite. Some staff spoke better English than others. They... More

I got great deal for the renewal price. The room is what they call " hollywood twins" room, so it was like a king size bed in a room all for by myself. yea, all rooms in a "business hotel" in Japan are small, but this particular room was relatively large. I could stay there with my partner or a... More

The staff were wonderful from the start. The staff in this hotel at least went out of their way to be friendly and talkative (in English) beyond the normal reserved politeness common elsewhere in Japan. This location is perfect for the foreign traveller with a Japan Rail Pass. It's within a 3 minute walk of Hakata station - which is... More

Being so close to Hakata station, this is a good hotel for the traveller. Rooms, as in most Japanese hotels of this price range, are not large, but adequate, even for two people. Bathroom smallish but also adequate for a few nights. Hotel staff pleasant with reasonably good English. Wifi available for free and also a computer with printer in... More
