Very handy being a stone's throw froom the train station. We arrived at Wakayama at 11.30pm, weary and tired from travelling so it was great to crash nearby. The staff were helpful with restaurants especially at that time of night. Room wise - it's not luxurious but comfortable and adequate. Location convenient to department store and bus station. If you... More

As I arrived in the evening, I couldn't see any sign of the hotel's logo on the building. Well, there wasn't any. I was just walking past the department store and realised that there was another door to another place and voila, the side entrance to the hotel. Perhaps, a sign could be placed to show that the hotel stands... More

Excellent value and perfect location right next to JR Wakayama rail station. We used this hotel as a stopover prior to flying out of Kansai Airport. All hotels at Kansai were fully booked and this hotel was half the price of the Kansai hotels so it worked out well for us. Room was comfortable and there were lots of good... More

Hotel is just next to the train station. Easy access to bus stands which brings you to various attractions. We had a superior twin room for a family of 2+2. You will probably not have much space to move around if there is a third bed (sofa bed). It was okay for us since we were hardly in the room.... More

Good location and relaxed ambience. The room key is not a card type, you need to deposit the key when you go out. There are staff who can speak English.

The hotel is located just outside the JR Railway Station of Wakayama City. My room was comfortable, equipped with toiletries, bathrobe, tea kettle (green tea provided each day), clothes brush, shoe polish, deodorizer, fridge, television with Japanese channels. Wifi was very good. Little English spoken at the reception (only one lady had a good mastery). The reception is on the... More

Excellent hotel. Breakfast, staff service, room, accessiblity etc. Breakfast- A spread of delicious food that suited to my chinese SEAsia palate and my partner's GlutenF Aussie diet. We didn't book with breakfast but after having gone trodding about looking for breakfast the first day without luck, we went to their breakfast hall and were glad we did. As good as... More

It's fine. It's clean. You'll survive it. If you're in Wakayama it's probably for business (it shouldn't be anywhere on your list of places to see for fun), so you might not have expected more. But in this day and age a proper fitness center is expected. The included breakfast buffet is just ok, and if you like fresh fruit... More

Sums it up really. Decent business hotel, spotlessly clean. Good wifi. Helpful staff. Really good breakfast. I used the hotel to explore the area before heading on to more famous parts of Japan, and being right next to the JR station was ideal (and around the station you have loads of eating options too). My single room was compact but... More

- Right hand side of JR Wakayama central exit. Right beside the Kintetsu department store entrance. It cant get any closer to the train and bus station than this. - This is the cheaper, more affordable Granvia hotel. The Osaka and Kyoto Granvia cost much much more! - Only has 3 floors for hotel rooms: Floor 7-9 - 5th floor... More
