We booked in here through bookings.com as a bit of a last resort, struggling to find places last minute from which to sight-see in Kyoto. It was very reasonably priced and near a station, so we went for it, expecting it to be basic... ...I was very pleasantly surprised!! For tourists like us, Otsu station is on a JR line... More

Wonderful hotel a few trainstops from downtown Kyoto. Exquisite balcony view in exotic lake and loads if eagles flying around. The Ohmi beef tastes SO good and I politely asked the chef if he would move to Norway but he resisted. Good staff and great value for $.

Stayed for just one night, room was a really good size, very comfortable and clean. Highlights were the view from the balcony and the public baths. View across the lake was beautiful, with illuminated fountains at night. We found it a very relaxing place to stay and would happily stay there again.

Only stayed here for one night while on our japan tour. We had the corner room which was a bit small, but it had a balcony and the view of the lake was spectacular. The room was a big muggy (but probably due to the weather in june.) The room wasn't spectacular by any means, comforter was basic, and not... More

Balcony, very clean and spacious room. Stunning view of the Lake Biwa, lighted musical fountain show at night. Breakfast buffet has various selection, foods are good. Hot spring, gift shop, karaoke, and more............
