We booked a standard double. The room was nothing special, relatively small but not tiny. The bathroom was tiny with no counter space to put things and amenities (shampoo and no soap in shower but body wash) were not great. The bed was very hard so didn't sleep very well. The location was OK with pluses and minuses. It was... More

By Japanese standards the rooms were of a large size. 2 queen beds, side table and chairs. Worked well for 2 adults and 2 kids. Large Japanese style bathroom. The hotel is located adjacent to Nara station, which makes travel by train or bus easy. Not far by car / taxi / bus to Nara Park (with the Deer). We... More

A nice new hotel, that has all the essentials. The rooms are decent sized and clean, and their shampoo is amazing! It is also right next to the train station, so if you plan to go to Kyoto from Nara, this is a good place to stay overnight. We did not get to try their breakfast, but some friends staying... More

The hotel is behind of JR Nara station. Classy front desk with pictures of Emperor and royal families who have stayed in the past. The room was clean and simple but nicely decorated. We selected twin beds which was comfortable and the room was big enough. For the price we paid, it was well worth it! The visitor center and... More

I and my partner spent one night in room 855 and it was clean and comfortable, no noises from outside, good mattress and also an efficient service from the hotel staff. There is also an internal public bathing (onsen style), open only in the evening. We didn't take the breakfast, but just outside the hotel is plenty of bakeries and... More

Though this is an international visitor hotel - there was a conference of haematologists when we stayed for 2 nights - it was the most economical of the four hotels we used in Japan. It is located in the same complex as the JR Nara buildings which makes life easy with luggage. Reception is on the third floor of the... More

Very good hotel right next to the JR Train station in Nara. Rooms are clean and comfortable, even spacious for Japanese standards. Service was fine, but not as good as one would expect in hotels in Japan - while correct, it missed that special touch of kindness that makes Japanese hotels and services in general so special.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms and toilets are typical of Japanese hotels: clean and neat. The room at Nikko Nara is also big for Japanese standards and it was the most comfortable one we stayed in Japan. The location is also awesome as it is situated right beside JR Nara station. JR Nara is not 1 of... More

There is no enough hotel room in Nara area, except this hotel. This hotel has many room than other hotel in Nara. I stayed here sometime. It is good enough but it is not excellent. double bed room is better than single room at travel by myself. price dose n't have so much different between them.

Superb location, walk from the train to your hotel. Maybe 200-300 steps to get to the hotel, so easy. This hotel offers 4 very good restaurants, and they are mid-range to very expensive. Nara also offers world-class Michelin-starred restaurants, and the concierge here can assist with booking the finest restaurants in the country (in Nara or Osaka, Kyoto, even Tokyo).... More
