The rooms are basic but comfortable. Loved the doonas and the memory foam mattresses. Yes, the bathroom is small but there's still enough room and the shower is hot, with good water pressure and certainly big enough. The guesthouse is in a good position near the shopping area, Nara Tourist Information Centre and an easy walk to either railway station... More

Pro: The room was spacious. Owner was nice. He let us borrow umbrellas when it was raining. We didn't go far (not even to the Deer Park) as it was raining hard so I felt my day was wasted. Con: The strong smell of seaweed in the tatami room. There was a typhoon and it was raining hard that night... More

We stayed 2 nights. Easy to reach from Nara station- owner sent map in advance.- about 10 minutes with luggage. Very clean- helps that you have to leave shoes by door. We had western style room & bed was so comfortable! Bathroom good- with smallest bin and sink I have ever seen. Towels to rent - 100¥. Slept so well-... More

Stayed here for my one night stay in August during the restival of lights. The owner could not have been more attentive or welcoming, If you come to Nara, you will not regret staying here for one minute. Very close to the park and great places to eat. The room had the most comfortable matress of all my places in... More

Our roon in the guest house was rather big, by Japanese standards. It was traditional, with grass type tami mat floors and futon mattress for sleeping. Our room also had a small table. The bathroom has a bidet western style toilet, small sink, and a very nice shower. The hostel has free wifi, a common area with flathead screen TV,... More

Sorry to write this comment so late. First of all, I strongly recommend this hostel to everyone. I'd stayed in the dorm for two days. Compared with most of hostels I'd been to, this one is very cozy. I have plenty of space to move around in the room. There's a chair in the room as well, though I'd never... More

Midmay between both JR NARA and Kintetsu station and perfectly located for sightseeing spots and many cafes/restaurants for lunch and dinner. New, clean and perfect for a short stay in NARA. Rooms are small but have everything you need, including western beds and private bathroom. It's off the main street so watch out for the small sign which we missed.... More

It's the best hostel I've ever stayed at. It's really clean and comfortable here and the owner is quite nice. It's also within close distance to Kintetsu-Nara station and convenient to reach major sightseeing places in Nara.
