We stayed at this guesthouse in Nara for two days and we really enjoyed our stay. This place is located off Sanjo Dori, which is one of the main streets in Nara. This long Sanjo Dori Street with lots of nice shops on either side ends at Kofukuji Park where there is a beautiful pagoda and temples. We visited Daibutsu... More

This was by far the cheapest room we stayed in during our three week trip to Japan, but you could not tell by the quality of the room. The room was small, but very clean and convinient. Great location too: close to both the railway station and the sights.

Guesthouse Iki is located close to the shops, restaurants, and main Nara strip. A big and clean room with comfortable bedding and a nice sized bathroom. Friendly owner. Quiet neighbourhood. Within walking distance to the deer park etc. Highly recommend!

We stayed here in a triple room which was huge. The manager spoke perfect english and was very helpful and friendly throughout our 1 night stay. I would recommend this highly for price, location, service and cleanliness.

We stayed in Nara for 3 nights in April with a 9 and 6 year old. Comfy soft big pine bunks with fluffy duvets and our own little bathroom made for a lovely stay. Great location as walkable from both stations. Really helpful owner who suggested good restaurants. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent price! No child bikes for hire, curtain on... More

We spent one night in this lovely guest house, a short walk from the Kintetsu Nara station, tucked away behind main road. Quiet yet near amenities and Deer Park/Taidaiji grounds. It's got a well equipped kitchen for self catering folks. Love the furnishing and decor - smacks of Ikea! Bedrooms are small and simply furnished with a pinewood bunk bed... More

The rooms are basic but comfortable. Loved the doonas and the memory foam mattresses. Yes, the bathroom is small but there's still enough room and the shower is hot, with good water pressure and certainly big enough. The guesthouse is in a good position near the shopping area, Nara Tourist Information Centre and an easy walk to either railway station... More

Pro: The room was spacious. Owner was nice. He let us borrow umbrellas when it was raining. We didn't go far (not even to the Deer Park) as it was raining hard so I felt my day was wasted. Con: The strong smell of seaweed in the tatami room. There was a typhoon and it was raining hard that night... More

We stayed 2 nights. Easy to reach from Nara station- owner sent map in advance.- about 10 minutes with luggage. Very clean- helps that you have to leave shoes by door. We had western style room & bed was so comfortable! Bathroom good- with smallest bin and sink I have ever seen. Towels to rent - 100¥. Slept so well-... More
